Hacking 4gb SD to 8GB SD WTF?

I am trying to transfer all my data from my 4gb SD card to my 8gb SD card and for some REASON it is not allowing me to use the 8gb on the Wii... Copied everything from the 4gb to the 8gb and for some reason the Wii wont allow the SD card to be read from the SD menu.. Go figure...

Any ideas what i can do here?

di you format the 8GB card beforeyou transfered everything? and also I'#m not sure about the wii but with the psp you have to format the card with the console befor eyou can put stuff on it, does the wii have this option? if so do that

8gb is sdhc. update to 4.1/4.2 and you should be able to use it. also wrong section.
