Hacking 3ds update

Hello, I have gotten a 3ds and it is on firmware version 4.5.0-10. I am wondering if its safe to update and if I will miss out on any softmods in the works that will probably need a lower firmware.
Also, is there a way to make the old r4I 3ds gold, play 3ds roms like the deluxe one does????

This same question has been answered about 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times. 4.5.0.10 is the last public exploit so if you update you will miss out on the chance for a softmod as of now. and no you cant make a ds flash card play 3ds roms.

There are no 3DS Mode hacks on any further firmware version and we can't say if there will be or not.
