Question in the title.

The scenario is: owning both CFW enabled 3DS consoles (same model, same region... For example 3DS XL). One is second hand regular edition and beaten up but has beautiful serial number. For example FW123456789. The other is limited edition (Pokemon, Zelda, Monster Hunters...) ( may have an IPS panel or quiet hinge as bonus...) with random ugly serial number. Serial sticker swapping is done, but can't do a motherboard swap and afraid the repair shop would put a scratch on supposedly perfect 3ds console. So need to fix Decrypt9, 3DSIdent... display the ugly serial number!

3DS scene has gone so far so now new I think it's time to fancy some unnecessary stuff. B-)

WTF- seriously??? Seriously... I'm speechless.
Let's not get this to EOF section. This may sound unnecessary, but if possible softmod wise, then why not?

When doing region change with SecureInfo file of 3DS from other region, is the serial number changed? I am technical inept so kinda confused about this info.

In theory, it could be possible, Nintendo has to set the serial in the first place.
However, I expect it's encoded in a series of blown fuses, where you could change only the 1 bits or only the 0 bits.

So, supposing the serial is 22CDF743, you could theoretically change it to 22DDFF4B, but not 22CC7742. (Or vice versa, but only one of them would be possible)
But, I'm sure only Nintendo would know how.

IF you know what SecureValue_A is
then you should also know that it contains the consoles serial number. Which you can change if using a9lh.
this worked for my new3dsXL which i region converted to EUR (it was japanese).

If you want to go through the trouble of doing this ALL for that little sticker go ahead!

EASIER METHOD:
Btw as far as i'm concerned, each 3ds has 2 stickers.
One under the battery cover and one on the backside. You could just switch those out.

Cheers for the latest response. That should be my question answered.

I meant in the OP that the serial stickers have been swapped. Just to uniform the serial seeing in the system when launching Decrypt9... . I never region swap between 2 Secureinfo files of 2 different system before so I didn't know(did region change within one 3DS console though)

Anyone can link me to where I can find the serial sticker on all different model of 3DS console: O3DS, O3DSXL, N3DS, N3DSXL? Can't fighure where the N3DS hide the second serial sticker
