Yeah, Gateway's Launcher.dat is exactly that. The only problem with it is that it was coded to rely on a flashcart so they could profit off of the exploit. Anyone who has the knowledge and lacking the holier-than-thou attitude could easily make one that only relies on the SD card.

So it's possible to code a program to launch a usermode vuln though a SD card so that a person who doesn't know alot about programming won't mess their system up (Like me)?

Yeah, but so far only on 4.x firmware versions, and it's for-profit so a free SD ROM loader is probably still a long way off. No one creates anything like that without having something to gain from it...

Maybe, but it's hard telling. The console hacking game changes fast. Just keep an eye out on the forums and enjoy your console legitimately, or if you have the extra cash, go buy an old system that hasn't been updated past 4.5
 
On SD card stuff have we confirmed now it is something as easy as say a unix style sda1 becomes sdb1 change? Going back to the DS the initial stuff for commercial games on GBA carts it involved some pretty in depth stuff (made slightly easier by most games and libraries deferring to the Nintendo provided interface rather than speaking to the hardware themselves) and looking at what others have said on the gateway it does some fairly heavy read redirection, albeit it seems to be in aid of not having to program a cart to respond to 3ds read protocol (noted as somewhat different to the DS stuff).

If it has then fair enough but if it has not then I would be wary about making claims of "it is easy".
 
Of course it's not going to be easy, the team behind the gateway seem to know the 3DS pretty well, so they could have done it with an SD card, I'm sure of it. You can't sell software though, especially not to pirates.

EDIT: First of all, my videos are all in 720p or 1080p and the audios bitrate is 192. So it's not "shitty quality"

Second, you're going to get banned (or at a minimum, warned) for explicitly stating that you TRY to be a jackass.

No, not really. Just wanted to hear your reaction. But I have been doing a lot of things that have come out to have shitty results. Like being stupid enough to bump this thread forgetting it would show up. But for real, your tutorials saved me a lot of fucking time.

Yeah, that post (the one I quoted) shows me when I feel stupid and am trying to cover my ass.
