So i was playing my 3DS and i was tired from the midnight release. So i put the time wrong since i forgot DS's are in military time and played some Rayman. The next morning I realized this and changed the time so it would be right and then checked the activity log. It said I never played Rayman. So is it possible to use this method to erase data like....if i were to use my Acekard?

I do not think there is a point trying to hide the fact you like to play fish tycoon, or any other game flash carts use, for hours on end every day.

I thought Nintendo relies on the activity log to determine whether or not to "brick" your 3DS? Or at least thats what the rumor was.

You can manually delete any game in the Activity Log.
But isn't it still in the daily log or something...

Indeed, that's the rumor...but since when is a rumor a fact, I ask you?

So, are people pretty much just going ahead and using flashcarts on 3ds now? I'm tempted to, but im quite nervous.

Nintendo won't commit cyber terrorism... that's what that would be (the intentional remote destruction of computer systems is an international crime and is subject to many laws in the US and EU and most asian countries).

Some website made up this rumor a couple months before the 3DS came out and then the stupids repeated it verbatim till it became "fact". Nintendo isn't going to come out and correct the misconception, it works out for them.
