So I've had my R4DS almost 2 weeks, played a ton of different ROMs, got 100% in Catlevania:POR and have had no issues with any ROMs whatsoever. No long black loading screens on Animal Crossing either.

On 2 occasions My DS did not recognize my R4 on power-up so I turned it off, ejected/reinserted the card and it worked fine.

I have a plain Sandisk 2GB microSD (not an Ultra II) card formatted to FAT32 via Windows.

I haven't tried download play, so I can't attest to it working or not but ROM play has been perfect.

hmmm...well it is reported as freezing on the wiki on POR.

So far there doesn't appear to be any 2gb micro that works with POR afaik that i read from the forums.

Of course...it would be great if there really was 1.

That was why I made this post my experience is different than that of the wiki and with POR specifically I've had no problems - even with FAT32

However, I have not tried Tony Hawk DJ - which seems to be the newest benchmark for ROM performance.

that sounds great, can I ask a few qs

1) where you got your sandisk card?
2) what setting are you running the game?
3) where is your sandisk made in?

I want a 2G now

I have a 1G and a 512M Sandisk (made in Taiwan)

Portrait of Ruin freees when I talk to Wind using FAT 64k but much less if I use FAT32

I don't have my DS/R4 w/me at the moment, but when I get home I'll run that speed test.

How do I tell where the SD card is made? I no longer have the packaging. It came in.
