I don't have a flash cart!
1. your choices are buy a flashcart for like 20$ from nds-card.com
2. hardmod (requires soldering)
3. DsiWare transfer (Requires another hacked 3ds/2ds console)

if you follow everything exactly then you will be fine the chances of bricking with doing everything right is less that 1%

Probably actually 0% even if you fail to follow the instructions --- anything that gets messed up can be fixed with ntrboot I think you'd have to cause hardware damage for it to not be fixable.
