Oh never mind, apparently the yellow screen thing is something that occasionally just happens. I managed to boot into homebrew.

....Not really DOING anything with homebrew, but if I understand it correctly, MenuHax is installed to the SD card only?

Yes. No SD = No Menuhax. The files are stored here.

So from what I understand, during the booting process, the OS reads files from the SD card, and during the reading of these files is when the hax is triggered?

What I mean is, in other words, there is no way my 3DS is going to brick just for using Menuhax?

it's already happened I think. if this page loads.

https://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax.php
actually, here is the page:
yls8.mtheall.com/spider31hax.php for o3ds
yls8.mtheall.com/skater31hax.php for n3ds

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

actually, here is the page:
yls8.mtheall.com/spider31hax.php for o3ds
yls8.mtheall.com/skater31hax.php for n3ds
and now it even auto-loads for the o3ds! That would have been helpful when doing the 9.2 cfw guide on 10.5...

You know what? I don't think I like menuhax. It really messes up my home menu. :( If I go to the "Turn off" screen and then open the home menu, it opens on to the default home menu with all the icons "packed". If I turn off the device and then load it up again, it doesn't do that but it all the icon placements are reset to their initial positions.

If I was able to get any other exploit working, I would just do that, but I can't seem to install either Humblehax or Oot3Dhax (the apps just give me yellow/black screens).

Have you tried saving the icon layout in the Themes section?

How do you do that? And also, will that somehow fix the issue where the menu resets to its initial state (default theme, all downloaded apps "packed") unless you actually power down the 3DS and restart it?

I never had any problems with menuhax and is been updated to latest release to support up to 11.0.0-33 But if you wanna keep using browser hax or some other entry point, is okay. Menu hax is the eaiest shortcut :)

I know it has, that's the version I've installed. But I've uninstalled it because it causes some VERY strange behavior due to what I think is the hax limiting the home menu's ability to write to the extdata?

When you press the power button to turn the 3DS to standby mode, and then close and re-open to go back to the home menu, does it return the 3DS the same way it was before, or does it give you menu in its "default" state with all of your downloaded titles "packed"?

No, i never experienced any problems. Perhaps try restting and installing the menuhax.

Switch the theme once or twice. Then follow instructions to install again.

this is great for the 11.0 crowd without homebrew.
but, we all know this is gonna be fixed by next week, right?

Is it possible to install OoTHax through this? Everytime I try, it keeps crashing with a yellow screen. :/

From what I understand, not at this point in time. Which is a shame. Because the only option so far seems to be Menuhax, and I really don't like menuhax. :\

Well yeah, you need homebrew access to instal oothax but if you have one you dont need the other. Are you trying to use browserhax to install oothax so you don't need web access to load homebrew?
