Gaming Firmware Update Compilation thread / List of Flashcards working on 3DS

Actually I bought it pretty recently, it had the dorasu icon. I updated it to 4.4, which was metroid. Not 2 days later, Nintendo decides to put 4.5, then I read up in the website that metroid ones couldn't be updated yet. The thing is, now: 1. The note is gone, the link was updated, however...

Gaming Firmware Update Compilation thread / List of Flashcards working on 3DS

Just pointing out that the R4i Gold Wood from r4igold.cc with the metroid icon doesn't seem to work yet with the 4.5 firmware they released. They updated the chinese and spanish websites yesterday and today but it's still the same thing. Gives the same check fail error as always.

Hacking Do flashcarts work after today's update?

Things look good enough. We'll just have to wait for updates.

Hacking Do flashcarts work after today's update?

Actually, I would love for OOT 3DS to have some sort of "manually turn off 3D" option like SSFIV 3DS does. I would want to play at 60 frames per second. That would be 3 times the original. Or even more for the PAL version of OOT64. Super fluid. But it won't happen.

Hacking What do you think will happen to your 3DS

I gonna choose disable all online features except Streetpass.

Hacking Who is going to update straight?

I will, of course. I'm still fully concerned about anti-piracy, though. There's no bricking to be done, but they can stop online services all they want. Unless they don't have a way to identify consoles individually and mess it up like they did with the Wii.

Hacking So what happens next month?

That's really, really strange. I was assuming that they would have probably unaccessible system logs for that just like the Wii. But if what you're saying is true, holy crap. A new friendcode...?

Hacking So what happens next month?

Oceanborn, this could be associated to the 360. Sure, Nintendo hasn't done anything until now besides putting the typical DSi firmware update that blocks flashcards (but not really, as we can see) but these things take time. I agree that this specific year they would have a hard time if they...

Hacking So what happens next month?

I decided to wait. I'm 99% sure they won't brick the device, but they will do something else, typical from current consoles. Perhaps they will start ignoring DS when they find out about people running 3DS software through SD or Flashcards. I'm convinced that it won't work the same way, and so...

    Hacking Acekard 2i 3DS update

This is the way I see it: They won't brick it. It's a scare tactic. But they will try something, like all companies try with their firmware updates. So basically they will do the same as the DSi for DS flashcarts. However, perhaps they also found out a way 3DS security could be compromised to...

Hacking FULL SPEED PS1 emulator on 3DS?

It's not just potential, it's development of such emulator what would give us some clue. You can have a great console in terms of processor but as long as no one tries to fit PS1 in and optimizes it to run at full speed, the processor is not going to do it by itself.

    Hacking N64 Emulation on 3DS

A big ass maybe. Like, this big. Maybe. I see it viable without 3D. But it'll take some time to hack the thing. Then again, the 3DS has shown some potential over PSP, which incidentally emulates N64 at some extent.

    Hacking Piracy or Homebrew

Homebrew. Both commercial games and homebrew. This might sound bad for someone's economy, but -just- if they put game demos, piracy could decrease. Also the best titles would sell even more. Which would encourage developers. An issue with Wii is that piracy was so rampant that a great...

Hacking Who uses flashcards on their 3DS?

"Not me. Not once, not never, nope. Whose chair is that? That's not my chair. Not my chair not my problem, that's what I say." Not risking 250 hard earned -euros- on that.

    Gaming 3DS ghosting?

Ghosting on 3D, I don't know. But ghosting on DS games, I'd say less than DSi, which is a good thing. I tried MKDS through download play on both my DSi and my 3DS, and I'd say fast movements from left to right look more defined on the 3DS. As in, you can actually see what's going on there.

    Hardware The "I can't see 3D" club

I acknowledge the fact that some people cannot see the 3D effect. But no one who actually sees it is a liar either. And I've seen a lot of people who cannot see the effect acting against people who can. That's what pisses me off the most.

Hacking 3DS flashcart came out and video inside

Let's see, they want to sell the 3DS, Pokemon B&W will sell inevitably, I don't think they'll just take their time patching the whole DS flashcart thing over and over. They're using a vulnerable system for that, and it's gonna probably work after a few tries. They will give up on DS. 3DS is a...

Homebrew Pressure sensors and L&R buttons

Actually both R and both L buttons are analog, but it's hard to press them all the way down. I know this because I tried one of those NEOGEO 2 pads and since it was detected as an old PSX controller, they were fully digital meaning just by pressing them they would act as fully pressed GC...

Homebrew Pressure sensors and L&R buttons

I bought a PS2 to GC adaptor not long ago so I could use it on emulators. Reason why is, I love this PS2 controller a lot and I used it on PC all the time. Now I intend to use it on Wii emulators, but there's a huge problem: since it's a PS2 pad and the adaptor detects pressure sensors, in order...
