switch OLED with 100ma power draw

Thanks a lot and I will do more research on this! The fuse is burnt in the boot0/1 or normal storage area? if it's in boot0/1 and the checks is done by boot processor at the very early stage of the boot procedure, it's messed up quite seriously... ...

switch OLED with 100ma power draw

sorry for my ignorance and thanks a lot for pointing this out! I didn't even notice there is such a mechanism there! (I should read more about this. ) so even I install the Emmc correctly, there is a chance that the boot processor would refuse to boot if the fuse internal to the SoC is mismatch...

switch OLED with 100ma power draw

Thanks for your confirmation! I was planning to do a power rails and critical signals dependency analysis by a logic analyzer just for learning the boot procedure. I don't really remember the versions unfortunately. The backup was a raw backup including boot0/1 done by a bga programmer so it...

switch OLED with 100ma power draw

yes, it was from the previous backup from the same OLED switch. actually, the picofly installation worked for several weeks and stopped working after a child dropped the console on the ground. so I got rid of the picofly and want to do a clean boot to do more diagnose. unfortunately, it's not...

switch OLED with 100ma power draw

It was a failed picofly installation attempt. I rebuilt the emmc with previous backup data by a programmer and after I reballed/reinstalled the emmc, it stuck in this status. (I have no access to the date0 point so I can not verify the installation is correct or not with an oscilloscope...

switch OLED with 100ma power draw

Hi to all! I have an OLED switch with 100ma power draw and doesn't turn on. The board has one of the four inductors around MAX77812 with 0.6v output and the rest three don't have any voltage present (I expect all should have 0.6v present on a normal board). MAX77620 1.3v power rail is not...

is there a way to tell max17050 failure from cpu, emmc failure

Hi all, I have an OLED switch failed to start properly. The current is around 110ma and stuck there. The 1.8v 0.8v 1.1v voltage around MAX77620 is present except the 1.3v power rail. MAX77812 only has one 0.6v present instead of four. since both max17050 and emmc get involved in the boot...

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

hello, progress update: as expected, fixing the line did fix the issue!

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

I didn't get the chance to fix it yet. Theoretically, I would say yes since the line is actually SCL/SDA trace for on-board chip communication including MAX10705 which is in charge of current/battery sensing. I will keep update the result once I get the chance to fix it.

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

update! finally, I found the scl/sda trace around the CPU is cut! it's cut by my multimeter probes when measuring the inductor beside it! whew! no wonder CPU can't talk to MAX10705 for battery and current info!

    hi newbie here

Hi everyone, I'm newbie here. I'm really into fixing my Nintendo switch and get my head around how this clock jamming thing works! anyone who is also enthusiastic about playing with hardware, let's have some fun here!

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

Thanks for reply. I checked the trace around the CPU upper part area around point D. The traces look good to me. I have uploaded the picture. I also attached an OLED naked board picture with it just for easy comparison. 1697619409 Thanks for sharing your experiences. Unfortunately, my case...

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! How do you know it was the trace cut around the D point? Would you mind sharing more details about the issue?

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

I've installed picofly on a new working OLED. I was very careful to protect every solder point to prevent shorts etc. After installation, I was so surprised to find that although I can boot into hekate but it shows the battery is 0% and 0 amp current. I suspected max 17050 is dead and did two...
