    Hacking Wii PONG

Yeah, well, it's kinda obvious that public affirmation is the motivation for everything you do.

    Hacking Wii PONG

That's a nice way of polishing the turd. Of course it's "more challenging". According to your laughable "collision detection" algorithm, it is impossible for any player to lose if he moves the paddle to the very top. Subtracting the Y from the X coordinates to do a collision detection? What...

    Hacking Wii PONG

Great remix of the original Pong concept. A version where the ball turns around mid-field, goes through the paddle to turn around behind it, and let's you return the ball without even touching it. I always felt the original Pong wasn't random enough.

    Hacking Homebrew Channel Issues

Just to be clear: You ran the WAD version of beta7, got offered the update to beta8 by the channel, accepted the update, let it download the update, and it actually updated?

    Hacking Channels vs ELFs

Sorry, but you're already wrong at this point. You are assuming that every time you "add a game", you are using one of 100,000 write cycles. Which is not the case. Every single memory page typically has 100,000 individual write cycles to use, and there's an algorithm in place evening out the...

    Hacking Channels vs ELFs

... factoring in 100.000 write cycles per memory page before failure, it would take them about 273 years to break the Wii. But I agree: Math is hard.

    Hacking Channels vs ELFs

Assuming you write to the same page over and over again once a second you'd wear it down within just over a day. Include wear leveling and bad sector marking, and a bus-proposed limit to the write speed, assuming 20 MB/sec constant writing we're wearing down the 512 MB of Wii NAND within just...

    Success!

So if one was malicious, one would say it's a bunch of modchip sellers under a fancy name, looking to protect their businesses?

    Success!

Just out of curiosity: Could you please explain what the CCER exactly is, having a "representative"? The web site doesn't state anything about the CCER itself or its intents and purposes. The only information it features a very short "memebers" list of five modchip sellers.

    URGENT MESSAGE TO CANADIANS

They are getting flooded by one and the same message, "Any amendments to the Copyright Act must not prohibit (...) commercial trade of circumvention devices and technologies", from one and the same server, initiated and paid for by a group of five canadian modchip merchants. Oh, this sends a...

    URGENT MESSAGE TO CANADIANS

I don't know where this magical Holland island you speak of may be. The Netherlands, however, adopted the EUCD, which is the EU's variant of the DMCA, on September 1st, 2004. (Edit: See also here for details on dutch anti-circumvention law.)

Hacking VC install using HBC & WAD Manager v1.0

    Please elaborate.

Hacking VC install using HBC & WAD Manager v1.0

No. You can remove the ticket with "WAD uninstallers", and using a system format you can remove playtime logs. But there's half a dozen other traces that cannot be removed by any software or process, mostly due to the way the Wii's system internals work.

Hacking Error with Waninkoko & HBC

There are people amongst the homebrew developers who strongly feel that Waninkoko is freeloading on the groundbreaking work other people do to further a decidedly positive cause. And if you take a closer look at one of jesushchrist's "insulting" statements - "all there is left for your wad crap...

    The new Homebrew Channel released!

Installing a channel - by both the HBC installer and a WAD installer - leaves traces all over the system, many generated by the Wii's system itself and in places a WAD uninstaller doesn't even have access to. If you think you can completely conceal a channel installation from Nintendo, pirated...

    The new Homebrew Channel released!

No need to be sorry, for anything. "Because it can be done" is a perfectly valid reason to do something, even if it's the only reason. I just feel people should be properly educated that, in this case, a WAD install has no advantages whatsoever and may cause inconveniences. That's all.

    The new Homebrew Channel released!

Installing the HBC with its installer is not equal to installing its WAD with the WAD installer. There are differences. The Homebrew Channel has an update mechanism that relies on a controlled environment. Even if it may work fine, the HBC team cannot possibly support the bugs a WAD-installed...
