PlayStation Plus revamp launches in Asia; uses PAL versions of PS1 classics, only has a fraction of its promised 700 titles

It's not impossible either, Microsoft does it. Outer Worlds on Cloud recognized DLC after I purchased it for example.

PCSX2 PlayStation 2 emulator releases its first public Qt build; improves UI, adds per-game configs

For ARM Mac's you may be better off using the AetherSX2 desktop beta's. https://www.aethersx2.com/archive/?dir=desktop Last build is 20 days old, so its not quite as updated as the recent PCSX2 build, but it uses the QT interface also and should be faster on ARM.

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

Does RPCS3 need lots of game specific settings? I don't emulate a lot of PS3 (yet). PCSX2 is quite unique in that department because of the problems that arise with upscaling PS2 games.

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

Aether is a modified fork of PCSX2. They share code too between each other when reasonable (Aether for example can load custom textures too (though doesn't support dumping). Though, funnily enough, as the whole trademark thing with Daemon looms over Aether they can't name PCSX2 by name.

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

As said on the previous page an auto-updater will come with the new UI. Until then, this would be the page you're looking for. https://pcsx2.github.io/downloads.html Download the AVX2 version.

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

Not going to happen due to how the PS2 works, at least on the hardware renderers. And it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with accuracy. For a large part, because when Sony developed the PS2's gpu thingy (The GS) they managed to go wildly against the grain of how GPU's would develop ...

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

If only there would be an archive on the internet that has that type of stuff

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

It requires a Bios. There have been attempts in the past to HLE the bios and the emulator *Play* uses one, but they are not.. very good. Pandubz on the Discord put it this way: So, it would be a massive undertaking in the first place and need additional, special code for a lot of individual games.

PCSX2 will now automatically apply hardware fixes to games

Planned for a while and now coming with the new UI. Pretty much. A lot of these features (UI, Vulkan, Auto Updater, GameDB) have been planned for the 2.0 release originally. That would of course still have taken a while. Thanks to Stenzek and his experience coming in that process has now been...

PCSX2 emulator gets support for texture dumping and replacement

It's not finished yet, so at the moment its recommended to stick to the WX version. If you just want to muck around with it though, create a github account and then download a QT version under the *Actions* tab. No support yet, of course, so don't ask for it. https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2

PCSX2 emulator gets support for texture dumping and replacement

BTW: There's a new PR which automatically applies gamefixes (upscaling fixes as well as other options that are needed for certain games) to games, so in addition with the new UI that should take care of a lot of usability complaints. Actually interesting to look at regarding this discussion...

PCSX2 emulator gets support for texture dumping and replacement

Depends more on what games you want to run rather than just giving an estimate. There's some massive differences on speed between games. Jak and Ratchet for example are very demanding games.

PCSX2 emulator gets support for texture dumping and replacement

UI is getting replaced. Old UI is on lockdown and is waiting for new one to be finished before getting ripped out. Pics are attached. (not mine) (Yes, per game settings is a thing now) Accuracy is slowly improving (with some speed optimizations). Sadly, PS2 is the hipster of video game...

PCSX2 PlayStation 2 emulator adds Vulkan renderer in latest build

I mean, when you have such glorious games like Xenosaga 1 that bug out because you actually do emulate accurately, its one or the other. PS2 is such a treasure trove of insanity that I'm not expecting to see anywhere near 100% accuracy for most of my life. FPGA or not.
