Umm. Nobody did.
The thing is knowing how the Wii's source code works as well as the SDK, Wii homebrew could be further simplified with open-source tools made by the community.
The N64 homebrew scene is bigger now than ever. I would love to get my grubby mits on a working SDK for Wii.
Did anybody hear about that massive Nintendo leak? Apparently the Wii's Source code as well as SDKs for the console were leaked.

This could be huge for the homebrew scene on the Wii.
The closest I've gotten to actually running this game is by following the suggestions and installing the wineD3D.dll files. the game actually loaded to a solid black window but crashed shortly after.
-I've ran in boxedWine. Nothing
-WineD3D. No dice.
-DXwnd. Zilch.
- I even found an .ISO of the...
I have tried, yes but wouldn't you know, requires the parental code to reformat.

This could be a godsend if it works for the Wii. I will have to try this next. Thanks :)
Hello fellow Wii enthusiasts :)
I have a black Wii that I want to mod. However there is the slight problem of the previous owners inputting a parental code lock which is preventing me from running LetterBomb and really anything else hacky on the Wii. I bought the Wii used from a thrift store...
Bizarre that it's not working. I've tried most everything in regards to the built-in compatibility options.
The weird thing is my machine runs Skateboard Tycoon, which came out around the same time and didn't require me to jump through any hoops but *sigh* I guess I'll keep working on it.
I...
It's literally this machine, no hardware modifications or upgrades yet:

Thanks everyone. I'll continue to play with compatibility settings but it's likely to not run based on my tinkering so far.
I'm going to try to play the game virtually and emulate the OS as that seems to be the next logical step.
The game is Disney's Extremely Goofy Skateboarding...
I have downloaded some abandonware games that I want to be able to play but am having trouble playing them on my Windows 10 machine. The software installs no problem and appears to run in the taskbar but that's as far as that goes. I haven't seen a game screen even though my OS appears to be...
In my experience the batteries on the DS lite seem to crap out a whole lot more than the other DS models.
Did you buy the DS new or used? If it's used, the previous owner could have taken it apart and messed with some stuff.
Either way, I recommend buying an aftermarket battery if you can...
I have to give you some love since you posted in my topic :P I beat him back in the day. I used to like playing Mario RPG with an SNES Advantage style controller since it had a rapid fire switch. Probably one of the Only RPGs I've actually beaten. SNES really had something special with it's...
Lots of really great games listed here. Glad to see Red Steel and Red Steel 2 getting some love.
Everything Resident Evil on the Wii is gold but RE: Umbrella Cronicles and RE: Darkside Chronicals are both great rail shooters exclusive to the Wii. Physic's based environment gives enemies a...
It makes sense on Switch. I'm not surprised it can run XP with a little tinkering.
XP on DS looks pretty sweet though. I wonder if it's actually running the OS or just a program built to replicate the feel of it. Either way, pretty impressive to see something like that on DS.
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
