I using just a normal 2gb micro sd card and yes I have tried a paper trick. Also it would be cool if someone could send me their files from their card. Maybe there is a problem with my sd card. These cards are no longer available in my near shops and buying them from internet is kinda not the...- Esspi

Actually I using adapter from my camera. I have some other adapters somewhere in my house. Is this thing included with my r4 do something different? I was thinking it works the same as other adapters.- Esspi

The newest version is 1.62 on http://old.r4wood.com/pages/Wood-R4-Kernel.html It only shows "Couldn't find_DS_MENU.DAT" Can you send a link for the version that you think will work?- Esspi

So its been a while since I bought my R4DS Revolution card and I still couldn't get any working firmware. Now I just found out that EVERY auction has changed it's description. Now every auction says "this card work the best with firmware v1.19. You can find it on gbatempt" but I can't find any...- Esspi

Hacking R4 card software problem
Yes. I just tried Wood R4 v1.62 from oldr4wood This one actually showed loading for the first two DS starts, but it changed to Couldn'tfind DS Menu and at the fourth try again loading.- Esspi

Hacking R4 card software problem
Hi So I have bought a R4 Card named "R4 Revolution for ds" for my younger brother. I've downloaded a software from r4ds website (sorry can't use links) v1.18 when I put my card into ds it says "Couldn'tfind_DS_MENU.DAT" I have also downloaded some others softwares and it always ended up...- Esspi
