    Just use USB-loader. Bought a Wii with a broken dvd-drive for cheap and using it for a year now. The DVD PCB isn't required for usb-loaders.

    I wouldn't recommend to buy the DS EDGE from Dealextreme.com since they're allready sold out. DX seems to have a lot of problems with stock lately. Also, It's Chinese New Year so orders will take even longer than before to be processed

    lol in a final attempt to solve this problem i swapped the whole dvd-drive (including the wiikey clone) with the one from my 'private' Wii. (which has the same Wiikey clone installed) Now both work fine. I didn't expect this actually, but oh well

    You could also use the 1.2 settings disc. It's working again! lol i have the same problem here after updating, the only explanation for it is the region override needs to be turned on, before i never bothered with it but now they have fixed it, we will need to turn it on with the setup disc...
