    I think save states could still work. Since the hypervisor can already pause emulation, the hypervisor could have direct access to gba RAM (remember, a savestate is simply the state of the RAM put into a readable file).

    also, I could potentially add almost as many players as there are keys on a keyboard (or even more than that with the use of usb controllers!) The game doesn't require much processing power as it is, and I could do some optimizations and make it even lighter to provide for more and more players.
