    Wii #2943 - Just Dance 4 (USA)

Wow. I forgot that releases used to be numbered and tracked. This takes me way back.

Hacking Does anyone have a wii mini that they are willing to send to me?

If you desolder the nand, overwrite boot1 and boot2 with bootmii, then put it in the Wii with the socketed nand, you might be able to boot into bootmii and grab the keys for that Wii mini nand which you could then decrypt. Does the console need to have a working disc drive? I'm looking at...

PlayStation 4 lifetime sales reach 96.8 million, closing in on the Wii's massive 101.6 million sold

It's interesting. The PS4 will surely outsell the Wii, yet the PS4 has had almost zero cultural impact.

Tencent Games uses employees to hack database systems

Pretty standard Chinese hacking stuff. When I ran my own servers, Chinese IP addresses hammered away day and night trying to break in. If anything, the Chinese government encourages IP theft. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It just how the world works these days.

Hacking Patch MIOS to access more RAM?

So I'm actually trying to get access to the full 128mb of ram on my rvt h to run some old gamecube development software. I don't know anything about dios mios or nintendont. Does that require a patched mios? If there's an open source patcher, I might be able to modify it.

Hacking Patch MIOS to access more RAM?

I'm trying to patch the MIOS on my Wii to access all of the MEM2 ram. (64MB) Does anybody know how to do this?

Hacking Wii Startup Disc possibly found?

Just digging this up in case anybody in the future comes across this. My comments apply to this video, too: That's not the startup disc. It's a disc used on RVT-R units to install the system menu over the dev menu. They are common and something like 16 revisions were released to the developer...

    Hacking A strange little wii...

Yeah. The uid.sys looks exactly the same on that wii.

    Hacking A strange little wii...

That's the uid.sys from the startup wii, right? I expected RAAE to be the first title, since that's the only disk the startup menu will boot. (check this article to see what it looks like when a legit startup disc is used: http://archive.is/tQqap) I can check through the documentation Bushing...

    Hacking A strange little wii...

That's pretty cool. I really have to learn how to solder.

    Hacking A strange little wii...

Bushing had that to say about the startup disc wii. Just keep it in mind if you do decide to run any discs to avoid overwriting everything.

    Hacking A strange little wii...

How did you get the console specific keys that allowed you to modify the NAND? Looks like it has all the release version of IOS. Like you said, the real prize will be in scraping the NAND and finding factory leftovers. Also, how did you inject bootmii into boot2? I have been doing some...

    Hardware [RELEASE] RVT-H Tool

I have been messing around with IOSs recently and have a couple questions: Is there a difference between the IOS versions of RVT-R and RVT-H? I think the RVT R has 88mb of ram while the RVT H has 128 mb of RAM? Is there a way to write retail encrypted discs without re-encrypting them with the...

Monolith Soft is hiring development staff for The Legend of Zelda series

This is pretty much how Phantom Hourglass works. You have that one main dungeon that requires certain items to progress. Every time you get a new item, you can get further in the dungeon. The mechanic is a good ides, but it really sucked in PH. The problem was that I kept forgetting what to do...

Hacking Question Is it a bad idea to send my Switch to Nintendo for repairs?

Would they even service a hacked console? They had tools during the wii era that would scan a console and determine if it had been hacked. Even if the problem was unrelated to the console's issue, they would refuse to service the console...

why do i have a blurry spot in the bottom left part of my right eye?

See a doctor. You're in the USA? Go to a family med doctor and have them take a look. If it's something serious, they will get you in same day to an eye doc. The most important thing is this: what is happening is not normal. DO NOT let the doctor send you home without a definitive diagnosis...
