Actually it was the NSP I was using. I was trying to install SMO on 3.0, via the skip firmware requirement option.
Installing a different NSP (Sonic Forces) which only requires 3.0 is working well!
hoping for some help here. Was having an issue with ReiNX crashing on boot (black screen after anime girl). I was advised on Discord to remove (or comment out the fs_mitm.kip). When doing this, I was able to boot.
However, I cannot install NSPs with Tinfoil. I get an error 95 (Failed to...
@Biff627
Do you happen to know the thread where it discusses the solution around not breaking your cart slot past 4.0? I have been skipping out on this method because I want to retain that functionality...
I preferred this way since I never had to write to my nand until I actually restored the backup... Secondly due to my VM issues from being on a Mac, I spent like 2 days trying to get my switch nand to be properly mounted directly
Last, I have a pretty fast SD card... Restoring only took like...
If you would like to update the OP @riyyi, there is a way easier way to do this now.
1. Download CTcaer's Hekate 3.1+
2. Do a RAW FULL Nand backup
3. Transfer said backup to PC/Mac & create a second copy of it.
4. Open the COPY of your nand backup using HacDiskMount (save the original...
anyone know why I always get Error (4) when attempting a restore?
Edit: I think I am an idiot and wasnt copying the rawnand.bin file to RESTORE lol.
Edit 2: Yep, confirmed... I suck. Disregard
Hello all,
Need some help here as I am now on day two of trying to get this done and cannot get it working. Been following the tutorial in the tuts section here.
My issue is that I am on a Mac and have no access to a pc with USB 3 support. Since I have read horror stories about usb3 support...
in addition to what I posted earlier, tried to do just a USER partition backup. Failed on .05, @LBA00002000, I think it was like overall 38 or 42% done, cannot remember and error does not show total percent, just verification percent. it ALWAYS appears to be on the first new block of data...
Its occurring when I do a Raw Full NAND GPP backup w/ an SD card of only 16 GB vs. full size what the NAND backup would be (32GB I understand). My 64GB card arrives tomorrow, I will also test with that card & report back. Ill also run some of the other backup types and see what happens
In...
Yes, every time I continue it attempts/fails after about the same time. Never moves past file .07.
Results from F3 X indicate card is OK... This makes sense because the partial backup for the first 16GB works fine. Its when I continue from where I left off after removing the first 16GB from...
So I am using F3 X, which I understand is the Mac equivalent, since I do not have access to a windows PC currently.
Some more info on my problem, the error occurs on the SECOND attempt to continue the NAND backup w/ partial.idx. The first files .00 - .06 appear to write and verify properly...
So seem to be running into an issue. Using an SD ultra card, tired formatted to exFAT and FAT32. Only 16 gb.
I am trying to run a RAW NAND backup. The first 15 or so GB runs fine. I follow the instructions & power off my switch, move the .00, .01 etc files to my mac leaving all others there...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
