I have not tried it but I tried Populous that works with the mouse. The mouse is emulated with the right joystick.

Homebrew RELEASE Development Thread - RetroArch libnx

I put Dosbox.nro in the "cores" folder and I loaded it with retroarch. Then I went in the options and I put: Driver : switch/switch/switch/switch_thread/sinc/null/null/nxrgui/null Video : off/off/2560/0 (auto)/off/off/0/0/59.940/NA/16:9/-1.00/0/0/1440/1200...

Homebrew RELEASE Development Thread - RetroArch libnx

It is launchable with the new retroarch.nro but it is necessary to put back the original video and audio configurations. Do you know if this is the last core of Dosbox that was compiled? You will tell me for Windows 3.1 but I crash it directly after the boot logo.

Homebrew RELEASE Development Thread - RetroArch libnx

Yes it's the one. Since then I managed to make it work. I launched Rayman, Doom, Populous etc and it works well. It's a bit slow when there is 3D, even playing on CPU cycles. By cons my problem now lies in the launch of Windows 3.1 that crash the console. It works on other systems where I have...

Homebrew RELEASE Development Thread - RetroArch libnx

Hi, I'm trying to run the DosBox core with RetroNX 0.9.7 but when I select an .exe or .bat the switch crash and I have to restart. I tested several games including Doom which is supposed to work. Other cores such as SNES or PSX work very well, so the problem must come from the core or a bad...

Homebrew WIP Lakka.tv first release for Nintendo Switch

MelonDS does not work at home, it lacks several files necessary for it to work. Is there a setting to fix the FPS for PSP or N64 games that go too fast? I can not wait for the sound to be there!

I shared the link on a French forum, someone should also do it on Reddit, right? I think I will participate as soon as I get my pay.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    That sounds really cool
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
I know the basics but no strategy at all

Watch chess streamers on Twitch and you'll pick up a thing or two.
