Hardware PSA: Do not use a third party dock with switch on 5.0.0

Possibly. Based on what I've seen so far, it looks like the switch isn't USB-C compliant, and over-draws USB-PD power sources by enormous amounts. The lack of voltage is what causes the issue here.

Homebrew COMPLETED [RELEASE] Fruit'Y port for Nintendo Switch - Retroguru Team

This is a fun little game - I think I'd play more it if the controls weren't so frustrating. I still beat a couple of levels. Also - it did crash on exit.

Homebrew RELEASE pFBA: final burn alpha

NVM - it's fine now. Doom and other stuff isn't listed - libtransistor stuff is hard to run anyway.

Hacking Users reporting screen burn in from HBL - advice from Pluto

I have two switches - the color temperature is drastically different between the screens. One is very cool - the other is practically orange. HOWEVER - the burn in issues aren't nintendo's fault or the screen's fault. This is a software issue that the emulator/exploit caused. (From a technical...

Hacking Users reporting screen burn in from HBL - advice from Pluto

run the first release of FBA with the neo-geo bios added. Then you'll see all kinds of weird issues. :) I don't think it was "burn-in" as much as something being stuck in the LCD controller's memory, or some kind of left-over rendering by the GPU. I'm not exactly sure how this is possible - but...

Homebrew RELEASE pFBA: final burn alpha

Any chance you can add filters to your site so we can sort by libtransistor / libnx? **NVM... did you make it all libnx homebrew now? :)

Hacking Users reporting screen burn in from HBL - advice from Pluto

The only issue I ran into was related to FinalBurn Alpha and the Neo Geo bios. The square "flickering" during neo geo games persisted AFTER I left the emulator, and even after rebooting the console. It was only corrected when I started a sega genesis game in the new version of FinalBurn instead...

Homebrew Would Homebrew work with the dock?

Looks like it's 1080p: https://imgur.com/a/DT9QK Switch is plugged into my "xbox" port on my tv... it's not really an xbox :)

Homebrew Would Homebrew work with the dock?

I can check this just to make sure. I think everyone is right - should be 1080p handled by the OS.

Homebrew Would Homebrew work with the dock?

...Or someone who's run retroarch already. Having run retroarch AND doom on my switch, I can say that it works fine. At least with Secret of Mana in retroarch. https://imgur.com/a/WCSo3 Figured I'd show it since there hasn't been a definitive answer yet. As far as needing extra work from the...

Hacking Android OS on Switch Ultimate Discussion Thread

Same "off the shelf" SOC doesn't mean everything on the board is identical: https://www.technobuffalo.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/[email protected] YOU take the first step toward porting the kernel then. I don't understand the HUR-DUR "do it for me" mentality people come...

Homebrew I would like to know if the switch homebrew works on 3.0.1 firmware.

It's not persistent either... While it's cool to see doom running on my switch, things won't take off until it's able to run homebrew independently.

    Homebrew snes emulator released

Should I be able to interact with Secret of Mana? It's running, but I can't control anything. Could just be the bug I saw on github where HIDs don't always work.

Hacking Ubuntu VM with Pegaswitch Libtransistor and RetroArch PreConfigured

Thanks a ton though - your VM got retroarch running for me. No ideas what was wrong with the VM I created - I think I might have had an out-dated version of pegaswitch / ncat.

    Homebrew snes emulator released

Yeah - It's mentioned briefly on github. I didn't realize it was a mandatory step either. Did you have any issues with ncat providing the switch's IP address?

Homebrew Graphical Hello World for 3.0.0

Hey - I think you asked this in another thread too. 'no output' is normal - and you must run that or NROs won't load when you use runnro. (at least, that's what happened in my case.) I figure the more threads we have a solution in, the better.

    Homebrew snes emulator released

ncat -klp 2991 doesn't show anything for me, even if an NRO is loaded.

Homebrew [Tutorial] Setting up Pegaswitch and Preparing for Homebrew

No Output is fine. SetupNew.js just needs to be run prior to loading an NRO, or you'll run into the error that I encountered: Command ID / Result code: Error: 0x1216 (Unable to verify NRO hash or NRR signature in module RO userland)
