Hey it looks like my computer has a molex power cable so I will not have to hot swap but is it safe to connect the HDD to the computer power supply and at the same time connect the ide to usb to it?
What about this thing https://www.ebay.com/itm/IDE-SATA-to-USB2-0-Adapter-Converter-Cable/383692092365?epid=0&hash=item5955d4b3cd:g:cVAAAOSwe~ZfRaIW
I watched a YouTube vid that said start the XBOX with the DVD drive disconnected then the HDD would be in an unlocked state.
I figure I could then...
It seems like it still works although now I have got a flashing red and green light and error 21 on the screen. Looking at tutorials on reddit it could either mean failed hardware or a bricked dashboard. I am hoping it is only a bricked dashboard because I had XBMC installed but I was testing...
I haven't used the XBOX in a while I only got it out recently and I have been applying softmods. I knew about the capacitor issue so when I bricked the dashboard I decided to look at the hard drive and I figured I might as well pull the capacitor out while I had it open. I looked at tutorials...
I was following a tutorial on how to remove the clock capacitor from an Original XBOX and I got everything removed and I looked at the board and it looks like the capacitor was leaking fluid and I went to wipe it away and it looks like some of the chips have been removed I am not sure if they...
If I uninstall CBHC will it revert to regular haxchi?
Also can I uninstall CBHC and go back to regular haxchi, perform the update, launch haxchi, launch the homebrew channel from the main menu and the reinstall CBHC or do we not know yet?
It is probably because you do not have the homebrew launcher boot.3dsx on the root of your sdcard.
https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases/latest
Download boot.3dsx and place it on the root of your sdcard and try it again.
I am not sure what it is about hiya either, when I was first setting it up I would get a blank screen sometimes, and I would format the card again or not use twilight and it would work.
Maybe download twilight menu separately and install it manually. 4GB cards do work though.
Anyway, I am glad...
Okay. I just took a 4GB sdcard and formatted it to fat32 with 32kb clusters and installed hiya with twilight menu and it worked.
Maybe it have been an issue with the cluster size. If it still does not work try using a different sdcard.
When hiya configuration starts make sure to select autoboot...
In unlaunch dsi titles will be listed in green and files it finds on the sdcard will be listed in gray.
Try scrolling down through all the files, there may be more if you keep scrolling down.
Also make sure your sdcard is formatted as fat or fat32 using default allocation size.
Another thing to...
If you have a lot of files on your sd card you may have to scroll down through a bunch of files,
(some of the files have glitched file names), to find it. unlaunch should list everything on your sdcard as well as DSI system titles. If it is stil not working I would first back up my sdcard and...
I believe the latest version of HiyaCFWHelper will let you select your sd card and copy directly to there.
Otherwise, yes, copy the files from HiyaCFWHelper out folder to the root of the sdcard.
That is true. Aw well. It didn't really work out anyway, my computer is too new for some linux. 4k scaling isn't too good on some programs. I have to switch monitors to see the installer and then switch back to my 4k display and even then not all programs scale very well. I will keep in mind...
