Original "The Legend of Zelda" for NES ported as a native SNES game

If you go to his Twitter page, you can see he has made a few revisions to the ROM and re-uploaded it. He's currently on REV-E.

Hardware Absolute fix to 160-1400 error

Check for continuity further down each way. Also test the drive flex cable too.

Homebrew [RELEASE] drc-test: A homebrew to test/read/write values on the WiiU Gamepad

Hey, I just used your drc-test app again. It's been great to validate a used gamepad. Thanks again! Just wanted to report a very minor cosmetic bug. On the main screen, you have an overlap of text in the lower right corner. It says "Press HOME to exit anytime" and "Press B to exit" on top...

Hardware Absolute fix to 160-1400 error

Glad this is helping everyone. I burned up my pads and never got around to fixing it. I got a hot-air station and just need to find the time.

    Hacking Priiloader 0.9 Released!

Thanks for the fast reply. Just so I'm clear... Is it *not* recommended to download the latest zip & hacks_hash.ini and reinstall it via HBC then?...or is this ok too?

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

I have an 8BitDo Bluetooth Adapter and also a DIY SNES Controller mod. Aside from power requirements, I'm assuming it should work ok on the I2C bus since the NES/SNES Classics work fine with Wii Pro Controllers.

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Any way to customize this build so that the Settings and Exit buttons line up perfectly with the Power and Eject button images? Also would you be able to rebuild your releases against the latest libogc that has the Wii 480p fix?

Homebrew [RELEASE] drc-test: A homebrew to test/read/write values on the WiiU Gamepad

This app is very useful to test used gamepads. Thank you! Just a few things to mention: [Cosmetic Fix] In the Virbration Test, you have motor "length" spelled as "lenght". In main.cpp, there are in 10 occurrences. [Bug Fix] In the Vibration Test, if you go left and make the length value 4GB...

Gaming Does anything ever cause a blinking red light?

Agree, it could be the power supply. Sometimes the Wii power supply needs to be reset by unplugging it for 2+mins from the AC outlet.

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

I got the Common Mode Chokes/Filters from Mouser. Hopefully I'll have a chance to try the install this weekend. Wish me luck!

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Thanks! I guess with the WiFi antennas and USB ports so close, these are pretty necessary. I'm fairly sure they are data lines since the drive does have power and will load/eject discs...just doesn't spin the disc and/or engage the laser. I found the matching part(s) on Mouser that seem to...

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Ok so I got my ESR meter and donor system (no power on issue). Turns out the donor system just had some corrosion on the power rails. So my donor system works now LOL. So now I went back to my original system with the 160-1400 error. I think I’ve isolated it to a component in the trace to...

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

I have a donor console, the MESR-100 V2, and SMD tweezer clips on order. I'll let everyone know my findings (good or bad) as soon as I can.

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Yeah I'll have to pick up one...looking at the MESR-100 V2. They're not cheap, soI might have to start trying to fix & resell Wii U's to pay for the cost of it. LOL

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Ok, I probed the SMD transistors that are on top of the mainboard by the DVD ribbon connector (Q6, Q7, Q8, Q3, Q15, Q17). Attached are my results (assumed all transistors were NPN). The only one that seems odd to me was the Q8 transistor (UA type). I got a reading in Test 1 (B->E), while I...

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Would you mind explaining in detail how you tested the transistors Q6-Q7-Q8 in circuit? I’m a novice when it comes to PCB components.

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Thanks. It's possible that the "UA" transistor is the NE66219/2SC5606 which is unfortunately obsolete. http://www.cel.com/pdf/datasheets/ne66219.pdf Also the Q3, Q15, Q17 transistors ("48" marking) are probably these PDTC123E...not sure what package it is though...

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Perhaps the voltage going to the transistor is marginal and fails when it's too hot? What method did you use to diagnose the bad transistor while it was in-circuit? I *think* my EU transistors (Q6 and Q7) are ok, but not sure on my UA transistor (Q8) yet...when my meter is in diode mode, I get...

Hardware Error 160-1402 : microcomponent (transistor) was faulty ! It's working now !

Hey guys, I purchased a Wii U on eBay with the error 160-1400. I thought it was going to be an easy logic board transplant, but I still have the error. Note: the owner says she is non-technical so she did not open the unit and the original drive is still in there. What I've done so far: -...
