    Thanks for getting back to me, guys. Through trial and error, it seems MacOS doesn't like it. I took the same console and cable to a Windows machine and it connected immediately. Took it back to the Mac and nope. Guess I'll be editing my games on the Windows machine!

    But what about CIAngel's ability to download CIAs without installing? Couldn't you just continue to download with CIAngel and install with FBI? Or is the downloading of the CIA through CIAngel also dangerous?

    Did you get anywhere with this? The app has frozen for me on maybe 4-5 games, and like you said about yours, the discs are all in mint and sometimes brand new condition. Very frustrating.

    Hacking CIAngel or Freeshop?

    If you just want to install a game, then Freeshop's GUI provides a nicer experience. However, CIangel allows you to create CIAs which you'll need for archiving, sharing etc. Yes it's a text UI but who cares? It's easy to use and does its job well.
