Maybe sometimes, but it's most likely the media. Or the burn. I got a working dual layer burn for the NTSC version, but I failed two burns of the PAL version (on Ricoh dual layers). I'm sure it will work when I get some new Verbatims.
well tried it on a dsx with the new 1.1.3 firmware as well as with the old firmware and you can't watch the movie after the tutorial with the frogs becasue it locks up halfway.
i used the new wii freeloader and it booted the clean iso (no brickblocking or regio patch needed) - but it was all in red... maybe becasue i'm not using component but scart on a hdtv?
i'm sorry but i've played it for hours in both single and multiplayer (hugecock release) on an unaffected brand of flashcart. i like the kind of protection where i wouldn't have even noticed it save from reading these forums.
i just rushed thru it until after the first boss, when some cutscenes appear and you are in village near the second save point. should i have had the screen by then?
i'm using ds-extreme without arm7 fix on the rom (and it saves fine).
edit: i guess time is more important than progress, i have...
i heard it works on ds-extreme too?
so that might mean the problem is only with carts that use mini-sd, cf users and ppl with internal ram cards are good?
