I guess 6.0.0 isn't interesting enough, feature-wise. Unless you play it by the rules of Nintendo, but that sounds boring AF ;-)
Horizon UI is still lacking many basic functions when compared to WiiU's (or even n3DS's). Homebrew solves a lot but Nintend'oh could've done more/better (maybe i'm...
Lets say you are right (i don't know your background but according to the context of your post you seem to know some stuff about it), but something goes wrong and the Switch gets fried anyway. Will Nintendo put us off by saying we didn't use their own (official) brand cable (AFAIK nintendo...
hmm, can you refuse such an update? It wouldn't be cool if a friend's switch would remotely update my switch and burning additional fuses (AFAIK this always has to happen with the user's consent).
Are you supposed to backup the NAND before walking through the device's first-time user/system setup?
I'm afaid my backup isn't clean/virgin enough and worry it won't be safe to use for future emuNAND purposes.
About nsp sizes: i've used different methods to obtain .nsp files (i.e. by downloading or convertion), and what i've noticed is the resulting .nsp
from CDNSP(GUI) all appear(ed) to be much bigger (about 50% increase in size) than the ones i downloaded from XCI/NSP download websites.
I wasn't...
Very useful/handy little program (can't find Doge though)!
To test it i downloaded a game update and compared it to another .nsp with the same game version update.
Both .nsp's differ 50% in filesize (the CDNSP one being the biggest). I wonder how this is possible.
With ChoiDujourNX: Is it also possible to downgrade below/past a firmware fuse count (since the program ignores them), or only to the firmware the Switch came with?
Oh, so basically my 4.0.1 Switch already has the updated/patched reader FW.
Isn't there always a chance for it to have still unknown/undisclosed loopholes that requires another patch? Won't it be better to keep it from updating, regardless of FW < 4.x.x > ?
Any word on Sonic Mania Plus (1.04)?
Main game installation fails under 4.0.1 (ReiNX 1.6):
Have no problem installing the game update .nsp.
FYI: XCI-Explorer (1.4.2) shows MasterKey4 (Unknown) for main game and dlc .nsp
Game update .nsp shows MasterKey3 (4.0.0-4.1.0)
Does this mean the main...
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
