ROM Hack An idea I've been pondering regarding Rayman 3D

Hello! So admittedly this is a bit of a spitball in terms of the actual idea and it was just something that came to mind when I was playing Rayman 3D recently. I've started to notice just how bad the port is compared to other versions of Rayman 2, as it suffers from jittery framerates...

Homebrew PC Composer/Sequencer for NDS music?

Yeah, but what about programs for use on PC that lets one make DS music (or at least songs resembling that of the DS's format, again like Famitracker)

Homebrew PC Composer/Sequencer for NDS music?

Hey! I wanted to ask here just in case it's out there, but is there by any chance a PC program that can be used to create music for the NDS hardware a la Famitracker? I've been searching around and I thought NITRO Composer could work but I couldn't find it, most likely due to being an internal...

Hacking Restoring saves from SD Card backup?

Hey! So, I recently got my N3DS XL loaded with CFW/emuNAND and the works, but I was left wondering something. How do I access my eShop games and saves now that the .db files are cleared? I'll say it bluntly just to avoid confusion, but how do I do either of these two? 1. Create new .db files for...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Is there any way to recreate/merge the database files from your SysNAND backup into the emuNAND? I have a few games installed on emuNAND but I still have inaccessible eShop games/saves on my SysNAND backup that I don't wanna lose

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Okay, thanks to everyone who helped. I got it working. My only concern now is the fact that, at least when I'm in EmuNAND, my 3D isn't working correctly. It's just splitting the images rather than actually displaying in 3D. Any ideas?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Okay, I got my first issue fixed, but now I have a couple of other issues. 1. I can't install CIAs onto the emuNAND now. When I install it through FBI (on Homebrew) it actually goes to SysNAND despite being set to SD (assuming that's emuNAND), and even then it still requires I use PastaCFW prior...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

So, I recently got CFW and the works, and I attempted to install a CIA for Rhythm Tengoku The Best Plus. It was region free but despite this it wouldn't show up in emuNAND, and when I entered Data Management, it was listed, but greyed out with an X. Any ideas on how I can bypass this?

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

Correct. I'll double-check just in case custom BGM was turned off EDIT: The Custom BGM is enabled. I recreated the theme from scratch and still no luck EDIT 2: I converted it to BRSTM first this time and it worked flawlessly. It's the BCSTM conversion itself that's corrupting it

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

Yup. Hell, the BGM for the theme I'm talking about right now is only like 1.9MB

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

That's also something I tried. I reloaded the basic theme, picked the custom theme again, and the BGM still reverted to the Saturn one. I tried it again but instead, I kept the Sonic Boom theme applied, and then the custom theme was launched with Sonic Boom's. It keeps adapting to the last BCSTM...

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

That's what I've been doing. Also, I made another theme, but I accidentally loaded it when I had the Saturn theme active, and now it won't change the BGM to the proper one (the basic themes switch to normal BGM) What do I do?

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

I finally got a wav that converts to a 3.15MB BCSTM Problem is, when I install the theme, I get an abhorrent mess of static. https://twitter.com/Screvvy/status/633160363719163904 Any ideas?

Homebrew CHMM - Custom HomeMenu Manager

So, I can't load my theme onto my 3DS. I have the red basic theme set, and I have CHMM 1.4 Lite (1.5 had a similar issue but didn't show the preview so I think 1.4 Lite is technically working better). Every time I go to install it, I get Error 91, which is a file write error. I'm starting to...

Hacking Creating a North American, non-XL New 3DS

I wonder. Is this basically going to be an emulation of the NA firmware, or do you speculate it will completely inherit the behavior of a US system after the NAND dump (with access to the US eShop and whatnot)? Also, I own a US N3DS XL. What should I do to prepare myself for when this develops...

Hacking Creating a North American, non-XL New 3DS

Maybe I'm being too naive, but could one theoretically "swap" the NAND file(s) between each handheld? I would dig through the thread but there is quite a bit for me to catch up on. Is there a condensed version of what's been discovered thus far?
