I think you forgot the issue when scrapping NGC custom banner (only NGC games are displayed after the scrapping).

You are right, I didn't think about starting retail disc from the loader. Before putting everything on usb drive, I was using system menu to start retail games. Thanks for your answer!

It seems that many new users are using Nintendon't as default GameCube Loader. Don't you think it should be the default one for fresh install? Maybe I'm wrong assuming almost all new users are using Nintendon't since it's only based on readings of forums and tutorials.

Thanks Cyan for the really clear explanation. Is there any tool to automatically generate the right folder name for NGC ISOs, like Wii Backup Manager or Wit for Wii games? I tried DMToolBox, but it is using the convention "ID" and you can't put it in a script (or at least I couldn't).

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I observed plenty of cases where USB Loader GX freezes at startup on "Initialising device" when I use the naming convention "Title [ID]" for NGC games if I have some games with very long title (according to no-intro titles). Is USB Loader GX able to use the naming convention "ID" to boost its...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I did the test on r1260 release, and your guess was correct: the bug only occurs when "custom banner" is ticked. If I unselect "custom banner", there is no issue (the Wii games are still displayed after scrapping).

I though I answered, but maybe I did not correctly understand what you call custom banner. This bug occurs in all display mode (as mentioned below).

    Hacking USB Loader GX

It wasn't me who already reported this issue. I did more tests with an USB drive with VC games, NGC games and Wii games: 1) Displaying Wii and VC -> no issue 2) Displaying Wii and NGC -> has mentioned above, only NGC games are displayed after scraping 3) Displaying VC and NGC -> only NGC games...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I found a bug in r1260. When scraping media for NGC games, at the end of scraping, only NGC games are displayed even if Wii games are selected and were displayed before scraping. I attached a detailed example. By the way, what is the best for you @Cyan? Post the issue here or open a ticket on...

Yes I have a meta.xml with AHB access in ULGX folder. If I understand correctly your post, you have: - Priiloader 0.8.1 - the dol forwarder installed in Priiloader (from the root of the SD without any meta.xml) Are you able to boot NGC games via Nintendon't from USB Loader GX booted via...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I did more tests today and I found a way to have the forwarder working with Priiloader 0.8.1 (even if I still do not understand why it is working). Here are the different tests I did: 1) Priiloader 0.7 + ForwarderV5.1.dol at the root of the SD I installed the forwarder.dol and when Priiloader...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I agree with GreyWolf: if I do that, the dol booted by Priiloader won't be updated, because the installed dol will be copied in NAND. If the dol forwarder doesn't disable AHBPROT, how can it work? Is it launching the forwarder channel, which disable AHBPROT and start USB Loader GX? Is it using...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Yes I am using ForwarderV5.1.dol (to install in Priiloader), I have the latest release of USB Loader GX in my SD and the wad forwarder (UNEO) in my NAND. Everything is working fine with Priiloader 0.7 (which is unable to deactivate AHBPROT for dol) but not with Priiloader 0.8 (which is able to...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

The latest dol forwarder (5.1) seems not to desactivate AHBPROT when used with the latest release of Priiloader (0.8.1). Indeed, I observed the following behaviour with my Wii 1) Priiloader v0.7 autobooting ForwarderV5.1.dol -> no issue with Nintendon't 2) Priiloader v0.8.1 autobooting...

@hang_loose: your cIOSs are a bit old. You should try to install the v8 or v10 of the d2x in slots 249 (base 56, almost compatible with all games) and 250 (base 57, better compatibility but a bit slower). You can also install only base 57 in slot 249.

But nothing failed with partial EmuNAND in my case... In addition, I do not have BootMii as boot2, so I won't try to install any unnecessary wad in my real NAND. I can try to install in EmuNAND with Showmiiwads and run in partial mode the Wiiware that failed for ccuevasm.

I can try with different VC and Wiiware games if you want. (Not tonight but in the coming days) @ccuevasm: can you try again with d2x v10 beta r53-alt base 56? How did you install your Wiiware in your emuNAND? If not with Showmiiwads, can you try to reinstall the wad with it and use partial mode?

Since the ticket of my VC game is in /ticket/0010001/, this is consistent with my test. Where are tickets of WiiWare games?
