    Homebrew Blocking browserhax update message

Yep, I've edited the main post to point N3DS people to the easy workaround. Nope, if it has saved the version outdated result and 24hours later it tries to connect and fails, it gives the error which is similar to "Can't use browser on this network, try again later". :(

Thought SVDT's selector let you choose the browser. Welp. Per the wiki: "There is a cache for this in savedata. The request is only done when at least 24-hours have passed since the last time the request was done(see the below savedata section)."

That only applies to N3DS, main post updated to mention the workaround for N3DS at the top instead of halfway down the page. Something's different about the N3DS browser, and the blocking doesn't work properly. Nice for those of us with an N3DS.

    Homebrew Blocking browserhax update message

Which message was it? Can't use the browser on this network, or update required? Had you used the browser in the past on 9.9? If it never successfully checked with Nintendo in the past, this won't work :(

    Shamelessly stolen from https://github.com/44670/patchrom/blob/master/exefs2elf.py :D

Try using SVDT to dump the browser's savedata - not sure if it'll work, but worth a try.

Yes, you can mess with the browser save data. You'll need to already have another exploit to do so.

Doesn't HANS show the offsets/sizes while it's loading? 9.2.20J here:

I recommend keeping themehax installed, as it's not yet known how reliable this method is. edit: grammar is hard. especially at 6AM :p

Just to note: this hasn't been confirmed to work, had one person say it doesn't work so far. I don't understand why, but that doesn't help. :( Going to sleep now (5AM), hopefully someone else gets something working.

I don't get why it works on n3DS either, maybe the wiki is incorrect or it's handled differently on n3DS browser? Could just be a timing issue due to faster CPU though.

You can sign it with your own certificate, but the 3DS won't like that :( HTTPS is quite complicated, and unless you're the NSA you probably can't crack it. <sarcasm>Does anyone have a root CA cert lying around which we can misuse?</sarcasm>
  17. nallar

    Homebrew Blocking browserhax update message

No, it's over HTTPS so the 3DS will reject anything not signed with a valid certificate for cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net.

tubehax DNS now seems to be down - maybe your guess is right and they're mucking with it now?

I can get you the 9.2 JPN exheader, what do I need to run to dump it?

Didn't mean for that to sound rude - just a mistake getting passed on :) As of now, tubehax DNS is not blocking it:
