Homebrew WiiWare games from USB Loader GX reboot Wii

No errors, just a soft reboot to the first wii power on screen you normally see. I'll another cIOS, and was also told to move the FAT32 partition to the front as I was told this would help. I dumped the NAND using USBLoaderGX, which is the same I play games with. Will post back with results.

Homebrew WiiWare games from USB Loader GX reboot Wii

I'm running cIOS d2x v10 Beta slot 250 as the default IOS for USB Loader GX. I have a super mario game that happened to be on the Wii when I bought it that works fine from the official channels but when I attempt to load it from EmuNand the Wii just reboots without error. I'm using a hard drive...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

Aye, all four of them haha. At least they're selling used cheap now.

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

All fixed! It was the flash drive, apparently. I loaded up my games on an external hdd and not only did they copy over 20x faster but I've had no issues since.

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

I would bet money that the files aren't copying over the the flash drive properly. I'm now receiving a "wbfs panic: malloc tmd" error while using CFG Loader. Google results suggest the file is corrupt. I think the backup is fine, I just believe it's not copying properly; which may be true as...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

I tried both of those. It WAS just a black screen after the checking wii memory scene, now it just reboots. I'm kind of baffled by this -- I may just have to try an external hard drive instead of a flash drive before anything else.

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

Not sure what changed but it's now restarting the wii at load attempt. Better than a black screen that freezes the wii I suppose. New Mario bros still works fine. Tried loading on 249, 250, and 223. sysCheck v2.1.0b19 by Double_A and R2-D2199, Nano ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176). Region: NTSC-U...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

That shouldn't take long. I am curious though, I heard fat32 was a bad choice due to it's 4gb file size limitation? With multi-disc games won't that potentially be a problem? edit: apparently I do have it at fat32. Thought it was ntfs...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

I haven't, and the drive format is NTFS. I'm wondering if it's because I'm using a flash drive. It has awful read/write speed and takes 15x longer to copy files to as opposed to a 5200rpm hdd. I'm forced to use a more distributed backup given my disc situation, so I can't say if anything is...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

Note: Mario Kart apparently isn't typically a problematic game and I also get black screens on that. Maybe there is something going on outside of MH3 that I'm missing. Any suggestions to diagnose? Couldn't find information on how to run a syscheck.

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

I followed this guide for hermes https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/hermes-cios I however did not install ios202, and I used the v5 installer to install 224. My disc is unreadable so I had to get a backup labeled as "NTSC-USA." I'm limited to what games I can test with as I only own...

Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - black screen after 'checking wii memory' - wii 4.3u

Wii 4.3u I'm attempting to load a backup of Monster Hunter Tri, in which the disc won't read thanks for a hefty size crack in it, and all I'm receiving is a black screen after seeing "checking wii memory." Previously, the game seemed to of created a save file fine. I'm using a 4GB Sandisk flash...

Hacking USB Loader GX won't recognize flash drive. 4.3u

Resolved. I tried a different flash drive formatted as NTFS, applied files on it as wbfs, as I've been doing. This stopped any errors I was receiving. I then went into USB Loader GX and configured it to show all games(nand, gamecube, and so on)

Hacking USB Loader GX won't recognize flash drive. 4.3u

I'm having a very difficult time getting USB Loader GX to recognize my flash drive to load wbfs files and I've tried everything I could think of, as well read many guides and previously posted issues. At this point I'm trying to find a current, legitimate syscheck download, for Wii 4.3u. To...
