    I have and that works perfectly. But alas, because the translation patch was built around an unclean ROM, I then get an error message when I apply the English patch to the binary-fixed ROM. A classic Catch-22.

    Thank you so much for the fix! But after multiple attempts to use the patches with multiple different translated FE12 roms (ver. 3.01 and 3.01 Beta 2) and getting nothing but checksum mismatches, I'm going to admit defeat and live with my mildly irritating error message.
