In my rudimentary tests I think I'm going to chalk this up to one side of the usb c port being bad in my switch console, and it just so happens to be the side the official dock gets the video information from or something. The official dock worked 1/100 tries in horizon. The 3rd party dongle...
In that video there was 0 technical information. As far as I'm aware, the issues people had with 3rd party docks wasn't with the official dock no longer working but with the switch dying completely, which isn't my issue. That's why I'm trying to see if anyone else has had my specific problem.
While I'm fully aware that there were warnings and I did not heed the warnings, the evidence of the operation of the device seems to point to some kind of software issue preventing only horizon from working. For that reason I'm looking for some advice or information regarding the parts of the...
Well after dealing with it for a long time I tried to do a system initialization to no avail. The problem still doesn't make any sense to me as the switch seems to work fine even in the official dock but just not in horizon.
I wish I could dig into the system files or something, I'm not sure...
Has anyone else run into anything like this?
I was packing up for a trip and decided to see if I could leave the bulky dock at home and just use a USB-C dongle with HDMI out. It's this one:

I am aware that...
It's been a while since I messed with 3DS so I'm sorry if this sounds vague, but in Luma settings there's something about error reporting or something along those lines. If you toggle this setting it might stop crashing like that.
I'm not sure that a bios flash will fix your issue but the ind bios apparently have configs on the hard disk that you could mess with to see if that helps at all. To flash new bios just download one of the many "boot discs"
I def see the potential and usefulness of hekate and I use it as my primary payload, but I didn't for a very long time because of stuff like OP is experiencing. In fact that's why I told him to use the payload as a boot entry cause I've never successfully launched atmos with sigpatch from...
Yeah idk why it tells you there's no boot entries cause if that hekate_ipl.ini we edited is actually there on the switch sd card then it should show up as a boot entry. Maybe it's mac idk, I doubt that tho.
So to just boot atmosphere, you only need to use fusee-primary.bin on your injector. Hekate can do more stuff, but if all you're shooting for is atmosphere, don't even worry about hekate.
