"Super Mario Kart Deluxe" romhack gets a brand new 3rd teaser trailer

WOW! They added a ton more than I expected from what I figured was just a "character and stage" hack. This just shot up to my number one for upcoming releases.

Hacking The "My SD2Vita/PSVSD is having issues" thread

Can anybody help me with this issue? I am still unable to resolve it. Could you share with me how to do that? Maybe the Vita will succeed where my PC seems to fail in formatting correctly.

game boy micro link cable wiring color coding

Thought I would circle back on this since I have since done the work to success. As it turns out, the colors from my cable were extremely similar to the normal GBA cable. The color-pin relation were as follows: pin 1 - blue pin 2 - red pin 3 - orange pin 4 - brown pin 5 - green pin 6 - thick...

How can I get better battery life out of my game boy micro?

I've been using my game boy micro a lot recently, and have noticed the battery life is not very good. I have a new mahko 750mah battery and I mostly play NES games on the pocketnes emulator, running off the SZ Flash 4 mini SD card version. I have noticed that I only get maybe 5 hours in this...

game boy micro link cable wiring color coding

Nice resource. I had a chart but that is solid, so appreciated. I'm working on getting a good connection; I've been attempting to avoid desoldering the wires from the link cable PCB, but given how I'm struggling to get good connections there, it looks like I will have to do the work anyway...

game boy micro link cable wiring color coding

Looking for any info on the color of the gb micro link cable internal wires for the player 1 side and to see what pins on the plug side they correspond with. ie. red wire goes to pin 3, etc. I'm having a bit of difficulty accurately touching pins on the plug side with my multimeter, and so I...

    Some DSi Shoulder Button Questions

What behavior should I look for using the multimeter? Also, I am surprised that L/R harnesses are, contrary to my experience (and yours, it seems) are hard to find on their own. Plenty of cheap whole units for sale however, so I will look at harvesting if needed. As you say, it looks like a real...

    Some DSi Shoulder Button Questions

    1. What do the two things next to the L button switch do on a DSi shoulder button assembly? They look like potentiometers, like the kind you use to adjust LCDs. Is that what they are, or is it something else? 2. My DSi L button is totally busted. The switch is unresponsive. How do I know for...

Hardware GBA cart slot connector has internal corrosion. How serious of an issue is this?

I have a GBA which I am cleaning up. I have found a decent amount of corrosion on the inner portion of the cartridge slot. The connector works, as it loads games with no issue, but I am concerned about long-term stability. The solder connections don't look bad to me. There is a lot of corrosion...

Hacking The "My SD2Vita/PSVSD is having issues" thread

Related to my first post, I see also that my vita SD shows 136GB of used space on my PC, but only 70GB or so when all files are selected in the root. I have hidden folder display turned on, so I would think that they are all getting picked up. Is there some other file or files that the...

AGB-001 - How to test for speaker problems if you don't have a spare speaker?

That's some great info, thanks! A high end multimeter or oscilloscope looks like it is more than I want to spend, but I have a second working GBA that I could check the resistance on for that speaker. So I would want both speakers to read out as having the same resistance across the contacts?

AGB-001 - How to test for speaker problems if you don't have a spare speaker?

I have a GBA with sound issues. The speaker doesn't work, but when headphones are plugged in, the headphone works perfectly and there is no loudness problem. I would think the. that the speaker is bad, but I don't know how to test as I don't have a spare speaker around, and I'd rather not open...

Hacking The "My SD2Vita/PSVSD is having issues" thread

I thought I did that, but it turns out it is not formatted to 64kb. Guess I gotta format and start reinstalling everything! Rough, but worth it to get my 100GBs back. Do you know if there is any tool to make restoring a vita into an easier task? I ask because I have done a card swap before and...
