"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

How would I test this? A 32gb card worked fine, if that's any indication (was also FAT32) I've barely used it, and never inserted an SD card into it before, so I don't know how it could be damaged, unless it came like that already

"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

I got it direct from Amazon so I'm pretty sure it's not fake. And my 128gb card won't work either 🤷🏻‍♂️

"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

Like I said, it was definitely FAT32. The 32 gig card (also FAT32) does boot into Atmosphere but then it drops and continues to the regular Switch home menu 🤷🏻‍♂️

"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

I was using the version from CNET, but I downloaded it straight from the Dev's website (Ridgecrop Consultants) and that actually launched the app. Formatted the card, everything at default, followed all the same instructions as before, and I still get this message: A fatal error occurred when...

"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

I can't use guiformat. For some reason, I click on it and it doesn't do anything. I used EASEUS though, and that formatted it to FAT32. Windows even says it's FAT32

"A system update is required to use the microsdxc memory card" - what to do

Hi, I've finally gotten around to hacking my Switch. I got it when it first came out and have barely touched it since. I'm on version 5.1.0 I've tried a couple of different guides, but when I get to the payload injection stage I get a fatal error When I boot back into the regular homescreen...

Homebrew Please help - green screen after changing video settings in VBAgx (GBA emulator)

Okay, sorry, crisis averted. I dug out the old VGA connector and managed to change the settings back. I was connecting through a Wii2HDMI adapter and it must not have liked the video setting I switched to. Nevertheless, it's scary how that little setting in one game on one piece of homebrew can...

Homebrew Please help - green screen after changing video settings in VBAgx (GBA emulator)

My friend asked me to hack his wii for him, and it was going swimmingly. I downloaded all the IOSs, set up the USB loader, installed some WADs, and put some emulators and roms on there the keep him happy. But then, I was briefly playing Yoshi's Island in the GBA emulator (VBAgx) and noticed it...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

I don't really know about the disc-swapping thing. Here's hoping they find a way though - some of the best GameCube games are spread over 2 discs I got DML r21 from a tutorial. I think it might have been on WiiHacks but I'm not sure I tried DM 2.2 as soon as I noticed how laggy the games were...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

That's disappointing. The compatibility list says it switches discs okay: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/DIOS_MIOS_Lite_Compatibility_List Also, an update: I've finally managed to get DML working but I had to go all the way back to r21, which isn't great. And USBGX doesn't support r21 so i have...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

Ah, well at least I'm not the only one :P I was going to try Dios Mios (in fact the reason I hadn't bothered setting-up DML all those months ago when I originally hacked my Wii is because I was waiting for the USB version) but I realised that most of my favourite GC games were re-released on...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

A-ha! Well, I've replaced USBGX's boot.dol file with one from the archive you linked to and I have got more DML options now. Left all the settings at default (DML installed version 2.2+, everything else off, GameCube Mode: MIOS (default & customs)) Aaaand, when I try to load the game I get a...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

I can't remember what to do with the boot.elf file. I dealt with them before but it was a long time ago. I presume the boot.dol file replaces the one in the USBGX app folder?

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

Thanks for the reply. I really don't understand how I don't have DML installed  but hey ho Is it strange that the Dios Mios devs are hosting links to DML? In any case, I'm glad because last time I checked all the dowwnloads had been removed from the DML googlecode site Are you sure that...

Homebrew USB Loader GX Gamecube trouble

I'm having the same problem here. I re-installed USBLoaderGX using the .exe file and I installed the DML wad (latest version) using Multi Mod Manager on IOS249 I've used discex to format my iso files and put the resulting folders in the "games" folder on the root of the SD card And every time...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Well, I found an alternative link (on FileTrip.net) but I scanned it with Jotti and some of the AVs report a virus: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/335c929276cf17c31cd1a6f1b2c277a9fc8c1109/07e1e4594bfeb633ca6dec8c3abd0e92cb4f2d6e
