    Just update for now. I heard the untethered fusee gelee mod will be done by the end of Summer, and it's impossible for Nintendo to patch, as it takes advantage of an exploit in the Nvidia Tegra processor.

    I'd get a triwing screwdriver and open it up and see if there is still something wrong with it. If you cant find anything small, such as dust built up or damaged plastic pieces, then just get the new controller. Good luck!

    Action replay won't break it, in fact, I remember someone porting action replay to homebrew on the wii so you could use your disc and send cheats VIA SD card.
