Ok, thanks for the link to your thread. The paper trick didn't work though. I think I'll just buy a new card that already has the update but I have question about the site you linked me too. Hacking Updating AceKard for v1.4 PLEASE HELP
So, I bought a dsi and an aceKard recently. The acekard worked fine but when I updated the dsi to v1.4, I didn't know I had to update my card first and the card no longer works. I bought a pair of joy cons for really cheap, but the right side wasn't being detected by the console when attached to it, it was charging though -

I took a look at the rail and noticed that the two last pins were soldered for some reason, luckly I still had the rail of my broken joycon so after I swapped them I was able to use it attached to the console

I'm pretty sure I know the reason it was soldered, but I don't know why someone would do that directly on the joycon
