I don't know xist. To me it looks like there's just no end to the chance of something else going wrong, wether I order the battery and continue the modding process myself or just handover my PSP to a game store shop keeper... Isn't there another way? -

I'm not sure. I bought the PSP from a friend. It already had 5.50 GEN D-3 in it and all I did was install Prometheus 4 on it (to play a backup of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep). Is that the same as Network Update? If so, then yes I have tried this. It gives an error saying it cannot connect to the server. The Eboot is 31 MB. I downloaded 6.60 OFW from the official store, but still gives the same error message when I try to update. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
