Pokémon veteran loses TWENTY years worth of game data after Switch 2 transfer

I've been wondering if there could be a way to back up all switch 1 saves from a non-modded console, by using the system-to-system save transfer, and modding the destination switch 1 console so that it copies the saves to the SD card, but never sends the "delete" command to the origin console...

Homebrew [REQUEST] Kirby Triple Deluxe Level Editor

Not really looked at it, but I think the .pro file is a qt project file, so you'd build it with Qt Creator or whatever.

Gathering DS flashcard knowledge - DIY "opencard" idea

If you like, you could consider it useful for creating homebrew to retail cart specifications.

Gathering DS flashcard knowledge - DIY "opencard" idea

Following up to this - I wonder how feasible it would be to use RAM for the faster storage, because NAND would eventually wear out.

Gathering DS flashcard knowledge - DIY "opencard" idea

Oh that's a good idea - copy the ROM from the SD to faster storage when its launched.

Gathering DS flashcard knowledge - DIY "opencard" idea

Interesting. So the timings required by the SDK code are that strict, and SD is that slow? Yeah, I'm not sure how you could have user upgradable storage without using microsd. Unless you could just clip NAND chips in? Depends how standardised they are I guess. Or I wonder if the SD overhead...

Gathering DS flashcard knowledge - DIY "opencard" idea

That might be a good idea, but any of the existing flashcarts actually "proper" flashcarts - i.e. emulating the cartridge protocol like flashcarts for retro consoles? Or do they all "just" patch the games' code in-memory? I know there are very compatible ones (Acekard2i/AKAIO being the best?)...

Is input lag/latency something other people have experienced with vWii? I've got a European Wii U if that makes a difference.

Appeal for homebrew/tool developer to help with Xbox/Xbox 360 digital game preservation

Yeah, although the data quality isn't that great with current packs like that unfortunately. Thanks, I'll look at that site.

Appeal for homebrew/tool developer to help with Xbox/Xbox 360 digital game preservation

This is about preservation of a store that is beginning to shut down. The ship has long sailed with Xbox piracy, and this is not intended to contribute to piracy. That is a useful tool but that's only "part of the puzzle" really.

Early Nintendo NX boot animation and logo found within Mario Kart 8 Deluxe prototype dump

Would be a good idea in case some turn up again (maybe second hand)

Early Nintendo NX boot animation and logo found within Mario Kart 8 Deluxe prototype dump

Might be a good idea to have a news post and pin in the switch section about these chips - saying you should dump (and release) before/instead of wiping them and using them to expand your storage.

    No-Intro: last unpreserved/undumped SNES carts

Well most of it is stuff from warez groups/found on the web. That's a whole other thing - a lot of dumps need confirming through re-dumps.

PS1/2 Possible to fix certain games that don't work with ESR?

If you have a compatible PS2 you can use mechapwn to run masterdisc burns (or unmodified burns if you use the more drastic "forcd unlock" mode, both of which supposedly have full game compatibility. Alternatively you can resurface the disc (manually, or you can go to a shop (e.g. a game shop)...
