    I just tried rev 995 and already ran into a couple of issues. First off all, at the first run, it took about 30-60 seconds before anything showed up at all besides the background and cursor. At the other runs, or when leaving the settings menu, it took about 10 seconds for the game list too...

    I had this issue a while back. I believe I was able to boot back into the system menu after going into the preloader settings and change the ios it uses to a different one. You should try that.

    Personally I prefer getting my stuff myself instead of using the softmii package. Helps me understand what I have + I always have the most recent stuff as soon as it's released, because I don't have to wait for softmii to be updated, so no softmii here. I think it's pretty useless actually...

    Yup that's all. Just like the previous version. Keep in mind that it may not install untill you installed IOS36-64-v1042.wad with wadmanager. At least, this was the case for me. @flat; Preloader does work on 4.0. A new version was released earlier today, preloader 0.29.

    Just get the new preloader and install it from the HBC. Maybe you have to install an older IOS36 with wad manager before preloader will install. That's all.

    Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but for some reason the Animal Crossing clock won't sync with the wii clock. Whenever I start the game through the usb loader the time is put back to what I set it. The first time I started, it was 11:59pm 1999!

    I'd say no, because preloader moves the system menu and then take it's place so installing preloader first and then update will basically overwrite preloader AFAIk. Btw, anyone knows the password? Can't seem to find it hehe Edit: Ah nvm, pressing 1 seems to do the trick, my bad

    I don't believe Ninty really cares about you having the HBC on it. I also don't believe that they will go that deep into the wii that they will see the logs etc. If you really want to get rid of everything I can only think of one solution, which is formatting the wii. Backup all you're save...

    True, but there is no real guide about CIOSCORP other than the Softmii one AFAIK. And Softmii also covers preloader + it's hacks, so I find it easier to tell someone to do a search on softmii

    That's because, for as far as I know, preloader itself won't let you do this. You should search for Softmii. That's what you need to load backups from the disc channel.

    although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)

    @BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.

    If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.

    and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
