ROM Hack [RELEASED] Blood of Bahamut English Patch

Almost all graphics are in English from the start, so most of the work is done :) However in our (Polish) translation we have to change all of them. My friend who has been working on it, has done a really great job: It's really nice game to translate as well.

ROM Hack [NDS] Blood of Bahamut - Open Translation

@phoenixgoddess27: I only quoted mziab who has created all the tools needed for our Polish translation. Thanks to him we were able to start working on BoB. Good luck with your project^^

ROM Hack [NDS] Blood of Bahamut - Open Translation

Anyway, our project is progressing rather smoothely. Event text storage is now figured out and we have a fully working insertion utility, as you can see in the screenshots. Some more work is needed here and there, but we seem to be on a good track :) If you understand Polish, you can also...

ROM Hack [NDS] Blood of Bahamut - Open Translation

Yeah, I was asking anyone who could help. Since Noitora wrote "If someone picks BoB up I'll add script-text support to the tool I posted earlier." - I thought he might be of any help. Thanks for the answer anyway.

We would really appreciate your help then with things I've mentioned before. We are doing Japanese - Polish translation, to be more precise.

ROM Hack [NDS] Blood of Bahamut - Open Translation

Hey guys! Does anyone know how the dialogue is stored? The files inside event_txt.dpk seem to have a different format than the dtx files. Any insight would be appreciated. We've done 25% of the translation of other files so far.

    ROM Hack Japanese TWEWY script

Cyan, thanks for the link, I will check everything there. Sorry for being imprecise before - I've been studying Japanese (5th year now), so this language is not a problem^^ What I meant (playing and translating) was that: we have English text (yes, we have romhacker in our team - actually it's...

    ROM Hack Japanese TWEWY script

Theoretically it would be easier, however I've noticed lots of small differences while playing both versions. When I translated First day into Polish, and got my hands on Japanese game, I changed about 95% of my translation (all changes were really small though). And it wouldn't be the first...

    ROM Hack Japanese TWEWY script

Hey guys! I've been working on TWEWY translation, but since we (me and my "team":) want to make it as well as possible, I'd like to ask if any of you have the game's japanese script. It is Polish translation, and I only have English text. Playing Japanese game and translating is not the best...

DS #3402: Edo Bunka Rekishi Kentei DS (Japan)

This is probably some kind of a test/tests about Edo period, literature, famous people, etc.

    ROM Hack Nostalgeo no Kaze

Well, I've played and finished this game in Japanese and I must say it isn't very hard to translate, I mean it's easy to understand most of the text (I'd say 3rd kyuu would do it, plus lots of work with dictionaries). And in my opinion, it's worth translating, cause the plot is nice and game's...

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
