What did you Accomplish in Gaming Today?

I haven't accomplished much in it yet but I started playing Batman Brave and the Bold on Wii. I also updated one of my homebrew games to add scoreboard functionality to it.

Tempmas 2012 Week 4: Tell me what you want, what you really really want!

As far as I can remember the happiest (and simultaneously most stressful) thing for me this year was starting HRT and everything it involved. In terms of games and homebrew it was when my last batch of stuff made it onto the HBB and suddenly there were a bunch of people using all of my online stuff.

    Wii #2904 - The Amazing Spider-Man (USA)

I'm actually liking it a lot. But the lack of an open world to swing around in is disappointing. I was really looking forward to that. I guess I'll have to wait until I get a decent PC or the PS3 version gets released and becomes playable on modded systems.

I am fond of winning free things.

Wii #2810 - DreamWorks Super Star Kartz (USA)

Holy coincidence, Batman! I just got Madagascar Kartz for PS3 a couple days ago (don't judge me. It was a small download.) and at first glance it's basically the exact same game. It even had Shrek and the blue guy from monsters vs Aliens along with a track from each of their movies. Except it's...

Wii #2806 - Heavy Fire: Afghanistan (USA)

I'm not really into military stuff or on rails shooters. If it's playable with CFW I might still try the PS3 version though (it's been a while since I've had an excuse to use the move controller).

Wii #2721 - Centipede Infestation (USA)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ae1rovY0XI I think it seems like it could actually be fun.

Wii #2604 - Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters (USA)

The Manhunters don't have that much to do with the Martian Manhunter. They are robots who where created by the Guardians of the Universe prior to them starting the Green lantern Corps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhunters

Homebrew Cherophobe (DS Entry), First Person Shooter

Thanks The rendering is done with the help of the 3D functionality that's built into Libnds. lfat and lnds9 are the only libraries I'm using. I think the stretching you are referring to is caused by the high field of view (it is set to 90 and it is my understanding that the average it usually...

    Homebrew Cherophobe (Wii Entry)

I've updated the game to v1.0. I’ve added a tile screen. There is now a home menu pause screen. The cursor is now a nice Wii style pointing hand. Now when you hold down the A button you wont turn. When you shoot the shots now go in the direction that the cursor is pointing in instead of simply...

Homebrew Cherophobe (DS Entry), First Person Shooter

I had never even heard of Faceball 2000 before now lol. The youtube vids of it do seem similar though. People in the Wii version's thread said that it reminded them of Wolf3D and Bad Toys.

Homebrew Cherophobe (DS Entry), First Person Shooter

Cherophobe is an original FPS in which you must defend yourself against the unending assault of smiley faces. For every Smiley face that you defeat you will be rewarded with ten points (the high score is automatically saved when you die). Your health drains away when a smiley face is too close...

    Homebrew Cherophobe (Wii Entry)

Sure. Just provide me with the mesh in obj format and edit its texture into the available space in this texture atlas. http://www.multiupload.com/X9CCJU58IV Since it will be replacing the smiley face you can obviously use that section of the atlas for your texture. Here is the mesh used for...

    CycloDS iEvolution released

If I remember correctly wasn't there previously some trouble with touch screen controls for homebrew when in DSi mode? I just tried Dont Get Crushed and Multi View in DSi mode with this new firmware and the touch screen controls are now functional for both of them. Nice update

    DSiWare Exploit Sudokuhax

The timing of this amuses me. I literally just put down my DSi after installing the firmware for and testing out my newly received free pre production iEvolution cart (the first cartridge to support DSi mode) and now there is news that this can be accomplished without the need for any cart at all.

    Multi View

What emulator did you use to record the screenshot? The fog shouldn't be that strong. The draw distance is limited but you can see further then that on an actual DS. There should also be anti aliasing. I haven't really done a lot of testing on different emulators. I've mostly been testing with...

    Don't Get Crushed 12/15/10

Its an updated port of a game I made for Wii and PC (and later PS3) which I had made in response to a request posted on the wiibrew forum for a Wii game similar to an iPhone game (the one that hullo8d posted a screen shot of) titled Falling Balls. So yeah its been all over the place. I'm happy...
