firmware : 3.1U (withoout any modchip) region : ntsc - u(no modification) game : ntsc - u SMG and after patching there is a difference b/w the smg.iso file and the partition.iso file of 350 mb PS : I am not a noob ,followed the previous stpes perffectly- bango5515

just a recap of my steps : got a brand new ntsc-U with version 3.1 1) installed homebrew channel(successful) 2) installed custom IOS CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad(successful) 3) dvdx -> advance -> ios249(sucessful) 4) made a folder with 3 files " backup-creator.exe ,common-key,smg.iso(ntsc-u)"...- bango5515

I think alll people here are liars ,I did everything but i am always getting "-4100 error" just one question ,when u get partition.iso after patching ,i hope that it needs to be burnt as an image and not as a data on the root of the dvd drive with the common-key . If thats the case ,I guesss...- bango5515

@linkinworm : welll i have 2 seperate wii's one of them is chipped(ntsc-j -> ntsc-U(3.3)) and the other one is virgin(ntsc 3.1u) ,thanks for this info ,i am trying my luck on the one which is unchipped- bango5515

welll this is what i have done on my ntsc 3.1u (no modchip) virgin console : 0) copied smg(ntsc-u) to a folder which has 2 file backup-creator.exe and common-key ,and then created a file partition.iso and burnt it on a dvd 1) used wad manager to install the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad 2) installed...- bango5515

Welll i dont think so burning slow would help ,all my backups work fine on verbatim @ 16x so dis justifies dat burning is not the issue ,i am on 3.1U- bango5515

Well I burned partition.iso only(I am not a noob got some vast experience of various scenes) my wad manager wasnt the latest ,i guess its 1.0 only tried smg on a rewritable verbatim dvd @ 4x and verbatim normal dvd @16x ,both gave me same results -4100 error ,and I use both of these with no...- bango5515

always getting error -4100 ,sam with me ,things i did on my ntsc-usa my ntsc -usa is not chipped and homebrew enabled 1) installed the wad file "CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad" using wad manager 2) istalled divx -> advanced -> ios 249 3) executed from homebrew channel -> iso loader but then this...- bango5515
