Is it a PS/2 or USB mouse? If it's USB, you can try re-installing your drivers. If it's PS/2, I would try going to the mouse options in the Control Panel and lengthening the double click time all the way. If neither of those work, you could just have a faulty mouse that needs to be replaced...
Hello everyone.
I just wanted to take a minute and say how much I've enjoyed this site so far. It's really a tremendous resource and I look forward to having lots of gaming conversations here!
Gosp, this is a good tip for beginners in theory, but once you really get into theory you'll understand that using out of scale tones and key changes is a very effective composing technique (see: jazz). The really important thing is to experiment!
A good ram-light program is VSTHost. It's not a traditional DAW, but it's one of the only freeware standalone programs I know of that can host VST plug-ins as well as record from a live source. It has great quality and will also allow you to edit the songs you capture with any sort of VST...
I think Fraesh is right, the drum sounds are produced by the oscillator just like the synth sounds are. The drum sounds on the trigger pad in the software are probably just pre-set editing on the oscillator, not actual triggered samples.
My list seems to contain a lot of PSX ports, but oh well. Here goes.
Oddworld
Xenogears
FFVII (pipe dream)
Bushido Blade (I've always thought the quick nature of the battles would make an excellent handheld port)
New 3D Mario Platformer
NA release of at least one Tales game
test84, another good site to check out is kvraudio.com. You have to sign up, but it's free, and it has a huge database of freeware VST software instruments, including a ton of analog ones.
From what I understand there are some translation patches floating around out there. Also, I usually forget to include them in RPG lists, but the Castlevania games are good 2D real-time RPG's.
