    sounds like big bad fake for me... a dvd with lots of missing files would have a completely wrong checksum.. technically, thats like downloading just 30mb of a 100mb mp3-file (eg. an album) and saying, the first 30 minutes played well, than it lagged.. for real, it has to lag all over the song...
