Feedback Homebrew Offering bounties for Switch homebrew (ports)

There was a media player some years ago I used for a while that was made for a bounty, I forgot what exactly it was called

    PS1/2 Non-nostalgia, non-retro reasons to use an actual PS2 over PCSX2?

Ancient necro posting I know, shocked no one mentioned surround capability though, PCSX2 has a Dolby Prologic II decoder for surround sound on home theatres but it’s not that great, the audio levels are quieter but somehow it makes the subwoofer kick in more (unpleasantly) if a game supports DTS...

Hacking Gaming Homebrew Tutorial Homebrew app Play Wii games with the Wii U Gamecube Adapter on USB Loader GX [Chadderz121 wup-028-bslug little update]

I’m fairly sure it’s right since brainslug detects and loads it, controller just doesn’t do anything I made a few for other games or some of the existing ones and those had worked fine so I’m not sure

Hacking Gaming Homebrew Tutorial Homebrew app Play Wii games with the Wii U Gamecube Adapter on USB Loader GX [Chadderz121 wup-028-bslug little update]

Looks like we found this post at the same time cause I'm just trying it as well. I also had some issues using the front port with my GC controller not being detected but then my flash drive wouldn't work through any port except the top one on the back. My solution was to connect the black cable...

"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" Ultimate patch gets an updated forked hack with the PSX title and script

SOTN’s PSP version got ported to mobile a few years ago

VR hardware manufacturer Pimax announces SuperOpen developer program

The Quest 2 was still available for quite a while afterwards and served as the budget option for people like me, and it’s been catered to with the Quest 3S since. I think the problem more so is that VR had the most eyes on it when it was emerging tech, lets players were all over it but no one...

"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" Ultimate patch gets an updated forked hack with the PSX title and script

For me personally not just in games, but I've heard his voice a lot all my life. Ben 10, Naruto, multiple Persona games, grunts in a bunch of random games, Spider-Man, so on so forth. He has a really distinct voice and he doesn't have much range (or at least doesn't show it often) he's always...

"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" Ultimate patch gets an updated forked hack with the PSX title and script

I'm all for the retranslation but I just can't get over Yuri Lowenthal voicing Alucard, that just feels so wrong. He's a good VA but damn it he's too prolific, not to mention the total switch up coming from Robert Belgrade.

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

Is there support or some sort of tool that lets you read and write files from slot 1 on a DS to the GBA slot 2? Would be useful for the miniSD without having to find an adapter

ROG Xbox Ally X price confirmed to be $999.99

That's pretty much why the normal model is at that $600 price. It'll probably take some investment to make it a good laptop experience, probably closer to a PC what with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard but this thing is built to play games so it should operate the OS pretty smoothly. As for heat...

ROG Xbox Ally X price confirmed to be $999.99

People will inevitably treat this like a console and gawk at the price even though it's a handheld laptop. Microsoft (even though Asus is fronting the hardware) can't reliably profit on game sales with this thing since it's an open platform. It's a PC so it gets a PC price, you're paying for the...

Nintendo Direct announced for September 12th, 2025

I'm not sure about that case in particular, but Nintendo could give it a reimplementation as a re-release the problem with gyro is that it's technically more accurate but it can't stay centered to save it's life so it's a pretty sucky pointer. That's why the Wii has a sensor bar. A hypothetical...

Nintendo Direct announced for September 12th, 2025

Wii can't feasibly be added to NSO unless Nintendo were very selective with the game they picked or had to substitute the IR pointer for a mouse, cause well it's missing an IR pointer

PS1/2 Do modern burners/CD's make lower quality PS1 backups?

I found the site and this thread by chance. I’ve been using some blank 700mb Verbatim Azo Data Life Plus CD-Rs I had on hand with a lite-on ES1-01 slim type drive from 2019 that was powered with mini usb on my laptop. I figured my PSOne’s laser had been dying for a while. I wiped down my only...

Gaming Homebrew Homebrew app Red Steel aspect ratio too narrow on USB Loaader GX

Sounds good, as is the nature of the Wii anyway, all of it's widescreen is anamorphic so it'll always look sharper in 4:3 (which is letterboxed for this game anyway and they got the aspect ratio wrong... It's funny too cause the game plays like a trailer with real footage of a guy playing the...

Gaming Homebrew Homebrew app Red Steel aspect ratio too narrow on USB Loaader GX

I've tried those latter two options to no avail, I do use the deflicker one often though. I think this is a problem with the game since other games look fine otherwise. I'm pretty sure the vWii plugin works regardless because the stock output cuts off the overscan area while the evWii plugin...

Gaming Homebrew Homebrew app Red Steel aspect ratio too narrow on USB Loaader GX

I'm using a Wii U with the enhanced vWii plugin and I'm trying to play Red Steel with USB loader GX, I've tried altering all relevant settings but the game seems to display heavily pillarboxed, which is normal sometimes, but I've never seen it so bad, and the top and bottom are display quite...
