Nah, that's not a real thing. Otherwise AIDS would be pronounced UHIDS because Acquired is pronounced UHquired. And LASER would be pronounced LAHSEER because the A would be like in Amplification and the E like in Emission.
& the guy who created the GIF says it's pronounced JIF. He's like the parent of the word, so he gets to decide how its name is pronounced.
