I had this issue aswell. The problem is that the github guide doesn't really support the new3ds in full detail so we are kinda stuck guessing on what to do. I tried to make a sysnand dump but all I kept getting were failed errors then all of a sudden menuhax gives me more error screens and blue screen of death basically bricked again in my case

Yeah, I'm throwing in the towel before I mess something up completely. Why oh why did I believe this would be as simple as rooting my samsung android devices?

The old3ds is actually more easier b/c well the whole guide focuses on it more, which I did successfully give it permanent CFW. I cant really blame myself for bricking my New3ds if the guide abandons it. But yea you should ask for someone to do it b/c a N3ds has a higher chance of bricking than the O3ds.

Its probably a visual glitch, just make sure the "emu" home menu is different from the current home menu you have.

@MasterJ360, for n3ds the guide is exactly the same steps. Im convinced on your end its user error. How many dumps did you send? I wonder if the dumps you sent in were a partial downgrade.

Part 4 after downgrading to 2.1 only says thats menuhax/hombrew launcher would be bricked for New3DS and pretty much said nothing after that which led me to go seek for answers elsewhere leading to a brick. Yes the guide is equally set for both 3ds but it skipped a vital step for N3DS

sorry for the double post but theres no other reason I had bricked it considering I was giving my Old3DS CFW at the same time literally doing all the steps twice. Backup nands were fine since they were backed up successfully. Mind you I had no errors before the nand got restored. But I read the blue screen seems to be a hardmod wire issue that im currently having now
