    The battery mod is just for higher capacity. I have opened up the dead one and desoldered the cell. It doesn't look like it's swollen or anything, maybe it's just discharged below the minimum voltage for PSP to charge it up or something? I'm planning to replace it but I also want to keep the UMD Drive so I'm currently trying to find a cell that's tiny enough to fit PSP's battery slot. We'll see how it goes!

    Windows Live MSN did everything 5 apps makes together nowadays, not only that, it did it better.

    Then Social Media gained popularity and was fine for s while. After 2011, everything fucked up.

    I agree, social media got really messed up especially after TikTok brought up this swipe up for more relevant videos thing. It got spread to every other major social media platform. Literally worst way to spend your free time. You get caught up into it without even noticing. You constantly swipe up and watch <60 second video for literally nothing. This new brainrot thing isn't funny either, old memes were way better.

    I really liked Internet back in 1997, I think it was so open, everybody shared all type of knowledge. It was interesting, not so full of angry banter, but there was some of that too. It was very experimental in a way, there was a lot of very different stuff and content, even if the content usually looked very primitive by today standards, in my eyes it felt way less samey than today. Of course there's also nostalgia.

    Ngl I feel like Nintendo is better at batteries... I haven't charged my DSi XL for like 6 months and it's still sitting at ~75%. If I had left a battery inside the PSP it would've been completely depleted in a month.

    Funny you mention that, my PSP battery turned into a spicy pillow a few months ago, so much so that the battery door was ejected from it and I found it on the opposite side of what was a full drawer of handheld consoles.
    The battery now sits in a ziplock bag, unassuming, since it no longer fits inside the PSP.

    Yes, amazing it is. I watched it back in 2001 when it aired in Argentina, I really loved it, and I have probably gone through the OST, remixes, radio free mars, etc. a million times. It sure has been part of a big chunk of my life.

    My Macbook Pro Mid 2012 has just died today, not turning on for some reason, even with the battery plugged out... Probably gonna try reviving it again in a few weeks. Rest easy my friend... o7

    If macOS says "replace battery", no matter how many cycles it has, it will forcefully disable charging :(

    I could still manually charge the cell if I would feel adventurous (by shoving wires into the connector), but it won't turn on without the 10s Power button trick.

    It's normal that it's underclocked and running at max fan speed, that's what the 10s Power button trick does.

    It's been 2 months since I've lost my FF7 Crisis Core edition PSP 2000's battery cover, I swear to god it magically disappeared while I was taking my consoles out of the drawer...

    I forgot this feature existed... I want a PSP Go so bad, hopefully going to buy one soon just trying to find a good deal!

    The Go model isn't the most comfortable but imo it's the best one. Super portable and runs every game in its library with no loss.

    And it's even better today because you can buy that storage expansion and install it without difficulty.

    For comfortability my favorite is definitely 1000, but the Go just looks cute and it is so compact! You can literally carry it anywhere easily in your pocket!!
