    Have many interests. Read much (often better than watching videos although there are exceptions). Invest time.
    At some point a good amount of knowledge will pay off.

    This first advise above is at least questionable and extremely oversimplified. The effect very much depends on the quality of a school. Hopefully it is at least good enough for getting a foundation you can build your own studies upon.

    This is the most juvenile possible simplification of "left and right" and the fact it's so widespread should be a wakeup call that both our education system and news reporting regulations are a failure. (And yes, I just said that, even being pro-1A and all).

    Understandable. For incomprehensible reasons people tend to draw a sharp line.
    A very common misconception is associating higher age with an automatic gain of "wisdom".

    Another common misconception is adults glorifying childhood and youth ignoring the downsides while taking any upsides of adulthood for granted.

    I *never* want to be in a situation again where other's can impose their will on me!

    This one(!) of the many good reasons why I prefer running things on original hardware: There is a giant temptation to cheat with emulators.

    I told you this before: Outrageously expensive game cartridges containing just a few KB had to keep the player busy for many hours. To a lesser extent still a problem on (way larger) SNES games.

    You can't be of any use for somebody else if you aren't looking after yourself.

    There are more options than extrem ones, black/white, 100%/0%, being fully selfish/altruistic.

    I'm not very interested if others like me. Either somebody likes me as I am – or not. Changing to please others doesn't work and will eradicate the own personality as you have to simulate different things to please different people.

    The only thing I can (obviously) do with such questions is answer them from my point of view, from my experiences.
    Worrying for the interests of others ignoring the own needs can (and probably will) have a bad ending.
