Yep, mine is dead too. So the replaceable battery on this is a bonus. I did order CR2032 battery sockets that should fit, just didn't get around to replacing it yet. The GC is at my moms because we play Mario Party sometimes, so I would have to bring my soldering equipment there or bring the GC back home to solder in the battery socket. But the BlueRetro is a solderless upgrade, two birds with one stone.

My Gamecube's clock battery has been dead for a while. I don't know how to fix it. It's so annoying, I wish the original front panel board had a socketed battery like this one...
