I recall playing Sonic adventure dx on PC with a mod that restores the Dreamcast visuals (although I didnt beat the game), i'd play it on ps3 but idk if I could mod that version

You can't mod it! Sadly the best ways to play SA1 are through PC with the DC mods or the DC version
